I booked the Belmontbat the last minute. They helped me out straight away. The staff are so friendly. The bar downstairs had a great atmosphere and great food. Smoke next door provided an exstensive menu. Pork chop was my favourite. I'm not sure when I'll be back but this will be first stop

A charming Art Deco hotel with great views of downtown Dallas. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel provides a free shuttle into town which I found very useful. The room was tastefully decorated and cleaned daily. There is a smoke restaurant located across from the hotel which serves delicious meals throughout the day and evening. There is also a friendly bar within the hotel where you will on occasions catch some live music. Overall a very good experience and good value for money. Well recommended.

The Belmont is just great. it's a restored motor court that's been redone in vintage modern style, and an exceedingly charming place to stay. It is very reasonably priced, with a beautiful pool, fantastic gym, stunning views of downtown Dallas, and a great bar and restaurant. It's a hotel with character, service, and charm. What more could you ask for?

Room Tip: Do not stay in the part of the hotel where reception is. The bar noise can get very loud at night an...

So, the secret's out. The Belmont is a gem. Truth be told, I've been visiting the Belmont for a few years now, I just have not taken the time to shout it's praises to the Trip Advisor Universe. This place is AMAZING! The rooms are 50s retro chic, the view of downtown Dallas is impressive, Bar Belmont is super fun and super great, and the staff at ALL is AMAZING!!! They've entertained my friends, driven me in a golf cart when eyes were bigger than my arms, hosted surprise parties for me, and just been all around amazing EVERY TIME. Whether you are on a date night, partying with the girls, or trying to steer out of towners to a cool spot. You've hit the jackpot with the Belmont. Go get yourself some of it RIGHT NOW!!!!!

Room Tip: Choose a bungalow facing downtown if you want a good view. The Jr Suite is one of my faves!

Located in the Oak Cliff section, not a five or ten-minute drive away from the fast-ascending Bishop Arts District and the famous (or infamous) Texas Theater, I look forward to the experience of the Belmont's 'old-Tinseltown' feel and charm over and over again. The best 'plus' is not just its connection to a great health club facility less than two blocks away, but the SMOKE Restaurant a stone's throw across the driveway makes this a destination, rather than simply a place to lay your head for the time being. The Belmont Bar always features some pretty decent live music, and although I have yet to stay in the 'deluxe' bungalows, it gives me yet something else to look forward to. Staff is courteous and attentive, and for me, since SMOKE does provide both bar food and room service, the only thing missing for me now is cable! I try to book a room each year, when I attend the Blood Bath Film Festival at the Texas Theater. Can't wait to do it again for 2013!

Room Tip: If you don't mind 'roughing it', the basic cabins are your best value. Otherwise, go ...

Ever since enjoying brunch at Smoke this summer, my wife and I have been looking for an opportunity to stay a night at The Belmont. We just returned from a couples overnight trip combining a stay at the Belmont, dinner at Smoke and a concert at the Kessler theater.

Check in was easy. Valet parking was very reasonably priced. Enjoyed a few drinks and small plates in the hotel bar with a great view of Dallas. Drinks were well made. Dinner at Smoke was sublime. We took advantage of the free hotel shuttle for our short trip to the Kessler Theater.

The room was great. Our suites both had beautiful views, huge romantic tubs in the bedroom, very comfy beds. A full sitting area with huge flat screen. And a nice vintage bathroom with subway tile.

We slept in Saturday morning and all was wonderfully quiet.

Really a great place to stay and a fun change from the typical Dallas hotel.

One of the coolest vibes I've experienced at a Dallas hotel. It was like going back in time to old-time Hollywood, and the days of Monroe & Sinatra. Our room was beautiful and comfortable with an amazing view of the Dallas skyline.
Service was friendly and accomading. We had a fabulous time at Bar Belmont and an incredible dinner and brunch at Smoke.
We also swam in the year round pool late night...
Everything about this place pleased us..
