“With so many fine restaurants in Dallas, there is no reason to eat at Javier's.”

We went there with great anticipation of gourmet Mexican food. The food was amnthing but gourmet. The Cabrito fajitas fatty and tough, the fish tasted sweet and the margarita was nasty. My brother had eaten there 20 years ago with his now deceased wife and sine he had the Cabrito fajitas last night, he" ll never go back. Doon't waste your money on this place when you could eat at an award winning restaurant in Dallas for very little more.

“Worth the visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

Unique, always happening place. Food is always very good as long as you stick with the basics. Last night had pescado mexicano and cabrito fajitas. Excellent! Service warm and attentive, margaritas good. Make sure to go to the Cigar Bar after dinner.

“A true Mex-Mex lovers paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

This is my favorite place to have Mex-Mex food outside of Guadalajara. This is the best place to see old Dallas money, have an awesome mole, and a very good maragarita.

If you are celebrating something, go here and have a bandera (shot of tequila, lime juice and a sangrita) with the smoked checken.

After writing this I think I am going to change dinner plans tonight and go there!

“Excellent Mexican Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Went to Javier's for a client dinner. The service was outstanding and the steak and sea bass out of this world. Great atmosphere and hear that the stars all eat there but on our visit, none were spotted. You also need to check out the Cigar bar after dinner.

“Not your typical Tex-Mex fare”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We were a group of 6 out for a Saturday night dinner. We all had very nice meals with just enough attention from the staff. It was a fun place with wonderful menu! The only down side would be that on a busy evening it can be a bit noisy.
