“Kalachandji's GREAT Food Good Karma!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

I have gone to this restaurant since it opened at least 25 years ago. It's delicious, it's fresh and the atmosphere is calming, friendly and very peaceful. I wish it were open on Mondays other than that it's great that it's open 6 days a week. LOVE IT! From Vegetarian Indian cuisine to Italian and Mexican Vegetarian dishes, Delicious! Always a wonderful salad bar and yummy tamarind tea.

This place is visually appealing and the food has left my friends and I craving it again. The variety and spice levels are terrific! This is a must try for everyone!

“Great Vegetarian Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

If you are looking for something a little different, Kalachandji's would be a good choice. The cafeteria styled, vegetarian, buffet type lunch is served in a cozy little restaurant located in East Dallas in the Hare Krishna temple. The food was excellent and the atmosphere pleasant. I will return to this spot when I"m in the area.

“Used to be fabulous”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

the food is still as good as it can get. But the donation pricing has gotten a bit high and is no longer a donation. And the atmosphere has changed since the remodeling. It's as if the success has ruined the charm it once had. But it's still best veggie place in Dallas

“Vegetarian fare with a sprinkling of spirituality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

This Hare Krishna temple has a great community outreach: serve excellently-prepared vegetarian food at low prices in a beautiful garden setting. We went and enjoyed the Sunday buffet, which featured dal, tamarind tea, naan, basmati rice and, confusingly, an excellent vegetarian lasagna. The food was delicious; even my meat-loving family enjoyed the rich and spicy flavors. And we enjoyed our meal in the lush bower of the cozy outdoor patio, which made us feel a bit like we'd traveled to an exotic foreign land. For $10 a person including drinks and dessert, it was a real bargain!

Also, don't forget to visit the gift shop for Indian earrings or a new Ganesh figurine or scupture!
