“Quiches were Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

Every time I have visited the Southlake area I have wanted to try this restaurant because for quiche. Both my sister and I ordered the veggie quiche. I expected a nice slice of freshly-made quiche. Instead, we got prefabricated quiche in its own little crust.

For a French restaurant "known for quiche" I expected much more. The price was reasonable but the food was not very appealing. There are other restaurants on this slip road. Try some place else.

“Need Lunch Near the Arts District? Try This”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

la Madeleine has locations all over Dallas but this one is right by the Arts District. Mainly used for lunch (unfortunately they don't stay open at night for Arts District Patrons), it has the typically wonderful la Madeleine bakery and lunch items.

“Always a great eatery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Enjoyed many times the french breads and pastries. Remind us of a country hearth and wonderful fireplace to relax on a cold winter afternoon or day.

“Quick service, comfortable seats, food is good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

Killing some time waiting for a bus transfer and found this restaurant on the ground floor of a tall office building on the SW corner of Pearl and San Jacinto, about a block and a half from the DART east transfer station. The restaurant building had an address sign "2100 Ross" but I did not see Ross Street, so I never figured that one out.

I had the French Country breakfast for $7.99 (croissant, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, and a french potatoe pancake. Tea was $2.19, and it was a tea bag (several to choose from) and hot water from an in-sink-erator. Jams and jellies are dispensed in pre-measured plastic thimbles. Tables are comfortable and look out toward Pearl Street. Food service was quick, and the staff does a good job of clearing tables and keeping condiments filled. The service was quick, but this is not fast food. On the other hand, it's not individually prepared food either. A good choice for a meeting, killing time or people watching.
