Was in Dallas for work and a local to Dallas recommended Cedars Social. Most of my group are pretty simple diners, so I was a little nervous for them when we first walked in. The restaurant is in an interesting part of town and you wouldn't even know the restaurant is there if it weren't for the GPS telling you so. A very kitchy place inside, some strange artwork, and very random pieces of furniture.
I tried to keep everyone positive with an open-mind to the place and the menu. Thankfully, there was a burger on the menu for our less-adventurous diners and the rest of us ordered braised short-rib, truffle mac-n-cheese, and the trout. The mac-n-cheese was amazing!! And even the burgers were a big hit! Overall, success!! I would have given it more stars based solely on the food, but thought the drinks were very over-priced, they were out of the short-rib tacos everyone raved about, and the location was quite odd. I'd say give it a try, more good than not!
