“Love seafood Gumbo Soup”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

Reminded me of the trip to Miami and Keys.
Especially try Gumbo Soup. It's phenominal!
I'm Japanese origine and very severe at seafood dishes I should say, but I want to fly back here to taste it if I ever go back home.

“Great Dallas Seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

This is not a contradiction. This is the best casual seafood in Dallas. Period. Excellent quality fish and seafood in a relaxed setting.

“Seafood delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

We loved this place!

We started with salads which were superb.

Followed by King crap legs and halibut.

Both were fantastic. Prepared perfectly.

Top that off with excellent service and
great value for seafood in any city and you
have us a customers who want to return in
the future.

“Great food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

We ate at Rex's last weekend and it was wonderful. I had a king crab leg and it was so fresh and sweet. Loved it. The others in our group loved their dish also.I can see why they have valet parking. :-) Great Food for sure.

“Wait 'til you taste the fried green tomatoes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Yes, technically they are not seafood, but these are the best FGT's I have ever had!

Also had the halibut special-a lovely portion, grilled with an avocado sauce artfully arranged. Each entree comes with two side dishes-with a grand collection of choices including some very healthy ones. You really can eat here if you are on a diet and stay on the high road...or you can wallow in some utterly divine nondiet goodies.

Excellent wine list and happy cafe atmosphere. A friend brought me here this weekend, and although her husband does not eat fish, it is his favorite restaurant in Dallas. The owner is ever present, sets the tone for knowledgable service, fresh food well prepared and a dream come true of a neighborhood restaurant.
