“Nice sitting outside...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Went here before going to see Wicked at Fair Park. Sat outside on the patio had a very enjoyable margarita. My quesadilla was nothing to write home about, literally just chicken and lots of cheese. Hubby enjoyed his chicken with the cornbread and friends enjoyed the fajitas. Our server was quite tentative and got the job done.

“Good late lunch (mid-afternoon)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Chile rellenos were different, but excellent. The Yucatan fish tacos were a little skimpy on the fish, but the mango salsa made up for it.

“Tex-Mex miss”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013 via mobile

The food was creative but missed mark. The service was slow and clumsy. Overall, I wouldn't not return.

“Great food choice, upmarket Mexican, good crowd”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

Over several floors and outside dining, a really good mix and feel. Attentive staff from arrival to departure. All the expected Mexican food on offer plus some inventive combinations that still ring true to the cuisine. Also good TexMex grill choice of beef, chicken and seafood. Long cocktail list with heavy tequila influence plus enough beer and wine choice to keep most happy. Overall great value.

“friendly and unpretentious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

On a brief business trip to the Dallas Grapevine area, I wanted to get at least a glimpse of Downtown, so took an expensive taxi ride on my last evening and ended up at the Iron Cactus for dinner to enjoy the view from their 3rd-floor patio bar as well as some of the renowned Tex Mex cuisine.

I found the service attentive and friendly and the food well presented and delicious. Highly recommended for a casual walk-in if you're alone or a couple - the tables are small so I guess groups would be better off booking in advance if they want to sit outside. The inside dining room looks spacious enough but might get busy in the evening.
