“Good Hotel - not so good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2010

I stayed at this hotel because it was reserved for our family reunion. As mentioned in other reviews the hotel can easily be a 4 star if it was in a different location. The location is the biggest con with the hotel. It's somewhat isolated off a service road, but the hotel is nice. It's fairly new with features you may see in hotel such has door bells, climate control, automated privacy signals, granite, 32" LCD TV and sound in the bathroom from the TV to name a few. I got a suite and it provides a little more room and a sofa bed if you need it. The first night was good, but the second night had a bunch a young adults who wanted to party all night. Because they have security I would still recommend the hotel.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2010

We spent 2 nights here with our kids for a wedding. We picked the location because it was close to the Arboretum. The manager was so friendly and accomodating. We booked a 1 bedroom suite so we could let the kids sleep in (never happened, of course, LOL) using the pre-paid rate. We were surprized that it wasn't charged because the manager knows that plans change and doesn't want people to lose money.

The suite was great. 2 full bathrooms and a kitchenette. The master bath had a full tub with shower and a separate shower which the kids loved. There was an indoor pool and spa which was nice because the weather was very rainy.

Overall, I would go there again. Warning, East Dallas isn't the best neighborhood but its close to downtown, the State Fair and the Arboretum.

This hotel is very clean with all the amenities you could ask for-including flatscreen tv's and a hot breakfast. There is one MAJOR issue that stops this hotel from being top-flight. That's security. About 5 or 6 vehicles, including mine, were broken into. It did not make any sense since the hotel is very well lit and the parking lot is small. No excuse here. Aside from this, the hotel could actually beat downtown hotels including the Sheraton and Marriot (insofar as rooms are concerned).

We did have trouble finding this hotel because when entering this address to our blackberry we forgot to add East and we ended up 30 miles away. We got in late in the evening to this hotel and was hoping our hotel suite would be a little larger. The sofa bed was twin sized and uncomfortable we ended up having to put the twin mattress on the floor. The two beds in the suite were 2 full beds we were expecting queens. The hotel was clean but the hotel pool was not in service. Overall it is a nice hotel but the suite was not up to expectation.

This is a brand new hotel, we were very excited to find it since we were attending the Dallas State Fair. All nite we could hear thumping noise above us, the rooms are not sound proof. Also, there were about 6 vehicles that were broken into -including ours.
