Compared to other offerings in the immediate area Palmer's is just ok. Service was good as expected, but order something from someone that is not there job, like another drink from the bread guy and the service chain feel apart.
Starters were a bit out there, Heirloom tomatoes were cherry size, not what I expected for the price when the large ones are not much more. Shrimp cocktail was a strange oil and grit mix and resembled nothing of a shrimp cocktail. Tuna tartare was very good, by far the best starter on the menu.
Main courses were good as expected, cooked correctly with nice sides, exceptional wine list, but not much of a medium priced selection, most were well over $100 into the $1000 which is impressive for a business dinner not couples.
Overall we enjoyed it, but for a final talley of $600 bill I expected a little more than just ok starters and a decent main.
I would give it a 2nd try, but would recommend other restaurants within walking distance for a special night out.
