This is a great place to stay. Park your car and walk to a bunch of hot spots on Mckinney Ave or stay and drink at the hotel bar. My wife and daughter both said "best martini I've ever had". great hotel bar. Rooms/beds/service all outstanding. Did not try spa but they were glad to give us a tour and it looks Vegas style nice.
Expensive but worth it. Will stay here every time I'm in Dallas.

We made reservations for our rooms when we left last year for the OU/TX weekend, They didn't know the dates yet for the game but reassured us it would be taken care of. I called 2 months ago to confirm and they said yes we have you down. We got there for the weekend and they said you were suppose to be here last weekend and we charged your card but you don't have reservations for this weekend. UGH!! after having to argue with them (which I hate to do, cause I'm not overbearing) and waiting 45 minutes they came to us and said they found us, and that they made a mistake. I called to get a car for 6 people to take us to Medieval times at 7:30pm, when we go down there they said no one called. We asked for the driver that has usually worked there, they said they don't use him anymore after the change in management. The next day I called to order room service for coffee, and they said that there is a huge demand on room service and to come down stairs. I then order room service later that after noon for Chicken Quesadillas and they told me they were out of Chicken. Asked them about a kids menu, they said they have no kids menu.

Seems to have promise, but I have stayed here 3-4 times and it is very inconsistent. The construction next door is a real issue and will be for a while!
It seems to have undergone a management change at least once over the last year.

Our first experience with this hotel was 6 mos ago. We were walking around uptown and wanted to stop in for dessert and coffee after our dinner. The decor is so beautiful and has a 40's vibe. We decided to stay this trip and were more than pleased. Our room was beautifully decorated and had a dramatic city lights view. We slept well, as the bedding is plush. The room was very clean. We also loved sitting on the patio having our breakfast, or a drink in the evening. Whenever we visit Dallas, this is our hotel.
