“Slowest sushi in town!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

Of you really need sushi near SMU and you don't, say, have time to drive to a nearby city then bring your pillow and be prepared for a wait.

The sushi is decent. Definitely not terrible but not really worth the wait either.

Kinda romantic but be on a first date so you'll have LOTS of time to talk!

“Great Sushi, Creative Rolls, drink specials!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2010

This place is really cool, got a low key hang out vibe and the service is good. The food is great, I lived in Los Angeles proir to moving to Dallas and this is the only place that compares to QUALITY! The rolls are very inventive, the staff will make you other types of rolls based off your suggestions. I frequent this place whenever I can. A must if you are looking for Sushi in DFW.

“Everything you'd want from a neighborhood sushi restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2009

Fresh fish, creative rolls, amazing kitchen food--what more could you ask for? A little gem tucked away in a strip mall across the street from SMU, this place hits the spot every time! Food is top notch, service is friendly, and atmosphere is quaint.

“BEWARE!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2009

Beware of Kyoto. Most Japanese restaurants have very friendly atmospheres. Sushi Kyoto is not one of them. Last time I called to order food from them the kid on the phone accussed me of ripping them off. The accussations were odd because I had never even ordered from there before. The people who work there are rude!
