We went to Dallas in January 2013 specifically for the Kennedy Assassination experience as neither my wife nor I had ever been there. If you go for that reason, you must tour the Sixth Floor Museum. It is very informative and the exhibits are very well done. You also get a view of Dealey Plaza from above that helps with the perspective. But you must understand that you are going to get one perspective and one perspective only on the assassination. You are going to get the Warren Commission version of what happened, i.e. that Lee Harvey Oswald fired three shots from the sixth floor window; that one shot missed, that the Magic Bullet hit Kennedy and Connolly and that the final shot was the fatal head shot to Kennedy. No other version of the facts is presented. But you are stepping into a place where history occurred, even if you don't believe it occurred the way the Warren Commission said. Go, soak it in and then take everything with a grain of salt.
