The atmosphere and the primary servers at this restaurant are absolutely top notch. Although it is located in a strip-type shopping center, you really don't notice that while you are visiting, even if you choose to dine in the outdoor area.
I didn't spend much time on the inside area of the restaurant, but it looked super cute. There is a small bar area in the rear, and then assorted tables on the dining floor. One neat thing is that none of the place settings match. It lends a nice French Village feel.
I sat outside, on the (DOG FRIENDLY! YAY!) patio. There were hanging baskets, etc. which cut out some of the sight lines to the shopping center. I was lucky enough to arrive at a time to be seated immediately, but it's my understanding that there can often be a wait, so call ahead. Water was provided, and I was immediately greeted by my server Jennifer. Throughout my experience, she was absolutely fantastic. Completely attentive, ready with suggestions, and knowledgeable about the menu.
I had a small cheese tray, the marshmallow soup, a crab soufflé, and a blueberry soufflé for dessert. The portions were nicely sized - I didn't finish anything. Honestly, both soufflés were a little overly brown for my personal taste. The crab had great flavor though. I would recommend a different dessert soufflé.
I also ordered a coffee after dinner, which was served in a french press - so that's neat if you like french press coffee. The restaurant also features a nice wine menu, with a wide range of typesa and prices.
But the service is really what made this a four 'circle' review.
