Tried La Parmigiana for lunch on a Sunday and was a bit disappointed. This is a place that has great potential with just a bit of tweaking on the menu and preparation. The setting is great, what you would expect for a quaint little Italian place. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu "reads" great and I think could be with a little more spice. The lunch started out great with the wonderful flat-bread and delicious olive oil infused with garlic and basil and parmigiana. We started with the appetizer sampler, fried cheese ravioli, artichoke and calamari. Everything was cooked perfectly and the calamari very tender however the breading could have used a bit of seasoning and the marinara sauce was very bland. The salad was nice but again the house dressing very nondescript. My wife had the cannelloni and I had the fettuccine a la parmigiana. Again both were nice but lacking in anything to set them apart. Personally I think that if the dishes could have been outstanding if the chef had punched up the sauces a bit more, some salt, oregano and garlic would have gone a long way.. Again, a nice local spot with great potential but currently only on a par with Olive Garden. We didn't have the Pizza but were told after the fact that it supposedly in quite good. Not sure if we will go back or not
