“Family Seafood Feast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

We drove down to the coast for fresh oysters and a walk on the beach. We had fun on the sand with our new dog, but the oyster's at Stngaree' were cold and salty. We enjoyed refreshing drinks from of the bar. The raw oysters were priced right and tasted great. We ate grilled flounder, onion rings, Boudan balls, stuffed crab, and fried chicken for the non seafood eater.

“Great food in an out of the way place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

We rode the FREE ferry from Galveston to Bolivar. After visiting Crystal Beach, we found this restaurant along the Intercostal Waterway. The food was very good. We were there at an off time so it was not crowded. Service was great. The prices were a little high for the food.

“Interesting..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Fun ride on the ferry to Stingaree. Unfortunately, their website indicates closed Monday, when they are really closed Monday and Tuesday! Ate in the bar below, which was average, with a healthy side of mosquitos! SHrimp plate was good but the Boudain balls were amazing! Fabulous sunsets..can't wait to go back and try the upstairs dining is this was a taste of things to come.

“THE reason we ride the ferry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We always ride the Bolivar Ferry to Crystal Beach when we are in Galveston. The reason? The Stingaree!
Good food, great service (thanks Nicky) and ambiance out of a movie.

“Sunday lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

I had called ahead and found out the top restaurant is closed on Monday so we changed our plans and went on Sunday. We had the grilled shrimp and red beans & rice. I thought the shrimp was a little bland but my sister said hers was just right (she doesn't like as much spice as I do).
