“Comfortable Stay, Great Service”

Our family stayed here for two nights over the weekend. Service was great. We hit the pool Saturday afternoon, and while the kids were quite happy, it was too cold for me, and the hot tub was almost too hot. On Sunday morning, the hot tub was just warm, and the pool was still cold. Breakfast was good, although it could have used a some more fresh fruit. It is far enough from the freeway to be nice and quiet, but easy to get to. Good selection of tv stations.

I stay in this hotel for 4 days. The staff are friendly and trying to make a better place. Lots of crikets, from the hallway to the light bulb in the room, this make the room a little dark. If they pay a little attention to detail it will make a big difference. The carpet in the hallway was spoty, look like it need some deep cleaning, and for some reason in the morning the hallway smell like smoke. Breakfast was pretty good, except probably lack of fresh fruits in some morning. Internet access was somewhat slow. Departure process have no prroblem at all

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express during the National Bikers Roundup. Everything from check-in through departure was great! The Hotel is clean, close to restaurants, with easy access to the Interstate. Staff & Management were very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for welcoming us!

We spent a night here on the first leg of our recent location. This hotel is immaculate and very well appointed from the furniture in the rooms to the pictures on the walls and the overall decor in the lobby and corridors. Check in with our confirmed reservation was a breeze, and the staff was very cordial. I would give this hotel a 4 star rating except for the one major oversight: There was NO guest service directory in our room, and I had to go to the front desk to request a cable channel guide as there was none in the room. Jacob explained to me that they were redoing the channel lineup, and he promptly made me a copy for my use. My personal feelings are as follows: If you do not have a guest service directory, you might take the time to suggest to your guests such things as local restaurants and attractions, or at least, let your guests know that you are available to answer any questions about the area and what it has to offer. If there are no cable channel guides in the rooms, offer one to your guests at check-in. Overall, we really enjoyed our spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed, and the always good Holiday Inn Express breakfast.

I have a crew in Corsicana and give them the option of staying at the Holiday Inn Express or the Hampton Inn, realizing that some like one over the other. A rate was negotiated with the sales manager, who is not on site, but was in town with assurances that both hotels would give the same rate, they are owned by the same person. It seems that the manager of the Holiday Inn just cant get it right. She is never around, will not answer calls and sure enough the hotel staff cannot bother her to get the right rate. Consequently my people staying at the Holiday Inn now do not have a choice. It is the Hampton Inn for us as they are great with service, made sure all rates were right and refunded the difference.

Save yourself a bad experience, stay at the Hampton Inn next door. How you can get such surly attitude at one hotel and such weloming service at another, when owned by the same person is beyond me.

My family stayed at this hotel on the last leg of an extremely busy trip. We found the hotel was very clean and the beds were great. Heather booked our rooms via a phone call and was very helpful. We arrived about midnight and the evening clerk was smiling and very helpful. As we checked out Jason the morning clerk was cheerful and provided directions. It was a great ending to a great trip.

I made a booking for 7 rooms over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend for a simple one-night stay. As each family group checked in they presented their credit cards to cover the $73.45 being charged for each room. We all checked out at different times and each one of us received a receipt for $73.45 on Saturday, 11/26. On Sunday morning we found out our banks had holds on each of our accounts for $773.45 for each room. (I had 2 rooms so the total for me was over $1500.

Mistakes happen right? Well you better hope it doesn't happen to you at this place. It took 3 days to have money returned to our account, the hotel NEVER apologized for the mistake. Told us in future they would just not take group bookings since the new system Holiday Inn implemented in October was respsonsible for the error. I asked for the manager to call me on Sunday to try and sort out what they could do to correct the problem and NEVER got that call. On Monday when I called and got the manager on the phone I was told she was out of town the day before and calling me would have cost her roaming charges, besides that the problem should be sorted out within "two business days".

Meantime, I had to transfer money into my account to keep from having returned items and one of my other family members did in fact have multiple return fee's as a result of this hold being placed on our account for 5 days.

Holiday Inn could care less about our issues. In total they held $5,414.15 that none of us authorized for services rendered in the amount of $514.15. The lies told during the past few days while we each have attempted to get some resolution is deplorable. They say you can really gauge customer service by what happens when something goes wrong. That being the case Holiday Inn Express and the entire IHG Group gets a -10. Complaints were filed with the Texas Attorney Generals office, the Hotel Group Association, Consumer Protection Agency and we continue to try and get some response from the owner of the hotel.

The Hampton Inn is right next door. Do yourself a favor and bypass this place - they don't want your business.

Room Tip: Book at the Hampton Inn next door or anywhere else in town franklly!

I was very disapointed to read this review posted. Our hotel did everything we could to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We were very sorry that the funds were automatically withdrawn from your accounts, but the event took place on a weekend and no financial institutions were open on the dates in question to release funds. The matter was worked on first thing on the following Monday morning. We felt very bad considering it was their family reunion, but the property worked as fast as we possibly could to ensure their particular issue was resolved. We strive to provide our guests not only with a comfortable night's stay but an easy payment process as well. We will continue to monitor all group bookings in the future to avoid similar incidents.
