Although I have never been to South America, I went to this restaurant with my friend who had. It was my first pupusa tasting experience and I was blown away by the simplicity, yet flavorful pupusa and immediately wanted to know how it is made. I truly could not believe how it changes a simple 'pancake' in to a wonderful 'stuffed pancake'. The great thing is, it is more like a crepe, very delicate and yummy.
Before your meal arrives you are served authentic tortilla and salsa. They also have a small supply of groceries for the local Centro Americans living in the area that may be missing a piece of home. This was truly a great experience. We left the place with our bellies full and for under $20 for both of us. As far as I am concerned this place just gave me one more reason to stop eating at all those fast food places!
