“Nice place to stay when visiting the George Bush Sr. Presidential Library.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

We really enjoyed staying at this Ramada hotel. Even though our room overlooked the drive-up entrance and parking area, the room was very quiet. Everything was clean and new. Our room had a king size bed, sofa, chair, coffee table, desk (with another chair), fridge, and a microwave. The hotel had free wifi and a free breakfast. The room had lots of electrical outlets. Even though the breakfast room only has plastic cutlery and styrofoam plates the meal filled us up and it's enough to start the day. It does have fruit and is refreshed even in the last half hour. The only bad thing is getting to the hotel off of the freeway. If you are heading northbound you have to go one exit past the hotel and then come back south, to an off-ramp. However, it is accessible from University Drive (just watch for the signs). The hotel is actually on Glenhaven Drive, behind the Olive Garden restaurant and Home Depot store. For under $100 per night (including tax) this hotel was a great value. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

This is a good hotel to stay at. The rooms are good. Had a few issues with the toilet but other than that the rooms are modern with nice decor. I did notice that the warmth from the heater does not last long, sometimes I find myself turning it off after the air goes cold and turning on my personal heater. Besides that the staff at times is friendly or not, including the staff at the breakfast area. I have been to numerous hotels in various cities in Texas and have been spoiled by the exceptional customer service I received on a daily basis but surprisingly the staff at this hotel is not that friendly. Sometimes they will completely ignore you or watch you walk by and not acknowledge or greet you. I am just used to receiving superb customer service from other hotel staff. Other than that, the hotel itself is a nice, comfortable place to arrange lodging at.

I stayed here over a football weekend. Service was simple but straight forward with no issues whatsoever. Location is right off of the highway and walking distance to a nice array of restaurants. We also took advantage of the football shuttle that hits several of the hotels on the street.

The place is pretty nice as far as Ramadas go. It's a newer hotel. There is a bit of echo in the hallway so I could see how the place has the possibility of getting noisy but nothing kept us up at night.

The prices were inflated, but that is to be expected anywhere in the city or the surrounding areas during a big event weekend like that. Otherwise very reasonable.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. It is a newer hotel which, for us, is important.

We had a huge room at the end of hallway facing away from freeway. Very quiet room, clean, with newer, basic furnishings. Don't know how noisy rooms would be if they faced the freeway.

Front desk was very friendly and helpful and they did give us the type of room we requested, so someone is paying attention to what the guest requests.

About 10 minutes away from Texas A & M.

The free breakfast in the morning was basic, nothing special.

For the price and what you get I'd say this is a place to look into. I've gotten a lot less for a lot more.

All in all a very pleasant experience.

Room Tip: I like soft, flat pillows. The only pillows in these rooms are the bulky, foam type. Turned out not...

We made a reservation at the Ramada while on the road for a college tour over the Christmas break. It was easy to locate and conveniently located. The front desk ladies were very helpful and polite. The location is quiet, but easy to get to eating places as well as the university. The room was very spacious and the light breakfast was tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
