“Clean, easy access, convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2012

We recently spent two nights at this property at the end of our Texas vacation. It appears to be newer, and the lobby and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast offerings were your standard hotel fare - nothing spectacular but not horrible. My only complaint was the cold coffee in the lobby. I tried both evenings for a cup, and both times it was ice cold. Overall, it was a nice enough place for a short stay.

We were in town for a basketball tournament and this hotel went out of their way to make the group feel welcomed. At least three teams plus a wedding party were staying at this hotel and everyone still was accomodated to a high standard. My team had an 8:00 am game on Saturday and while the breakfast normally does not open until 7:00 on the weekend, they had employees come in early to allow my team and family members to eat before playing our game. Nice rooms, good price, excellent service. Great stay.

I stayed at this Country Inn during a business trip to A&M. The location was good, just off of Hwy 6 (Rudder Fwy) and about 3 miles from A&M campus.

All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. A hot breakfast was included which was pretty good (selection was nice & the food tasted good) - one day when I came down there weren't any seats in the eating area but I think it was a random occurrence as the seating area cleared out minutes later.

The suites were nice and large. The living area had a sleeper sofa and both the living room and bedroom had flat screen TVs.

I'd stay there again on my next trip to A&M.

I stayed here in November for a business trip. The room was large and nicely decorated. The location was a short drive from Texas A&M campus. The breakfast was fine, if a bit short in fresh food. The staff was very helpful; when I lost my receipt and needed another, a staff member emailed it to me right away. This was a major contrast to the Hyatt in Lost Pines where I stayed next, where it took multiple calls and emails to get a duplicate receipt, and even then I had to fill out a long online form. So, score one for Country Inn!

Have stayed at this hotel twice. The spacious rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The breakfast is very good with a large selection of items. The hotel is near the college and restaurants but is still quiet and relaxing. This is an excellent hotel at a reasonable cost. This will be my first choice when making reservations in College Station.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size and comfort of the rooms. A large flat screen television surmonted a dresser and cupboard hiding a microwave and refrigerator. Decor was soothing and elegant. Bathroom was spacious and well lit (a big plus compared to most hotels). Although the location just off the major freeway into town was not especially scenic (College Station isn't scenic at all) it is easily accessible and the location is a good staging point. Breakfast is excellent with fresh fruit, juices, cereal, waffles, yogurts, boiled eggs, breads and pastries, some hot items and more. It's not gourmet, but it's way more than adequate. The staff are courteous and welcoming. Wish I had time to check out the gym and the season to try out the pool.

The beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept in. We loved the pillows. Would love to own those pillows. This is my second stay and would love to make this my first choice when I come to College Station

Room Tip: Very nice hotel I really recommended
