“Very Charming Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2011

Very nice & clean hotel. I had no idea what type of hotel this would be, because we always stay at another hotel in College Station that allows animals, but all the hotels in College Station were full when I tried to book a room. I remembered seeing this hotel, so we called to see if they had any rooms after trying about 10 other hotels. They had one room left, the Jacuzzi suite, so we booked it. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was big, nicely decorated, and extremely clean. The bathroom had a nice, large vanity area, that was beautiful. The Jacuzzi was in the main part of the room which made us chuckle, but we decided to use it since we had paid for it. It was a nice Jacuzzi and very relaxing. The breakfast the next morning was good and the woman that set everything out was friendly and she kept the place clean. Everything I tried was good except the chicken patties, but maybe it's because I am not used to eating breaded chicken in the mornings. The lobby had a book shelf with many books to borrow. There was a nice front porch with rocking chairs so you could sit out and enjoy the fresh air. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are very elegant and clean, staff is very friendly and helpful with anything that you need help with. Always had fresh coffee made in the lobby as well as cookies. Came in for camper appreciation Women's Volleyball game at Texas A&M vs Iowa State. The hot breakfast was delicious with a good variety.

You had me at the fresh, baked cookies in the lobby! Our stay was everything we needed and wanted: comfortable beds, a clean/spacious bathroom, and a delicious breakfast! Thanks for a wonderful experience and we'll definitely be staying there in the future!

We were able to get a last-minute Saturday night reservation at this hotel for Saturday, October 15th. I took the only option available, which was a one bedroom suite. The hotel was extremely clean and quiet, and I loved having an actual bedroom with a door since I get up much earlier than my husband.

I thought the location was convenient, and it was easier to get to the hotel from a traffic standpoint than the hotels on University. Although the room was priced for a football weekend, it was less expensive than a regular room at some of the other hotels.

Our suite had a small living area with a couch, chair, and desk. Adjacent to the living room was a granite topped dry bar with a small refrigerator and a microwave. The suite had two closets and two flat-screen TVs. The bathroom was an adequate size, and the hot water was plentiful with good water pressure. The king bed was extremely comfortable, although we both got hot due to the very heavy down comforter on the bed. (I really wish hotels would have a lighter weight blanket, but they all seem to have gone the duvet route.) I also appreciated that the air-conditioning was controlled by a thermostat and had actual vents...not a window/wall unit. In the lobby the hotel offers 24-hour coffee and cookies and a continental breakfast which is served on weekends from 7-10:30.

We usually make the round-trip on gamedays, but the next time we stay in College Station we would definitely choose this hotel for our stay!

Room Tip: Our room faced west, and there was no traffic noise at all even though the hotel is adjacent to High...

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The hotel must be fairly new. It is a small 4 story hotel that is located right off Rudder Freeway (Hwy 6) and Southwest Parkway in College Station. Staff was friendly. We had a King Suite which had a sleeper sofa, chair and wet bar area separate from the king bed area. There was a door you could close if you needed privacy. Both areas had a small closet. Bathroom was good size but our particular tub was not in great shape. It already had a crack in it and the faucet was loose. The bathroom and room were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner was controlled by a thermostat on the wall and worked well. We unfortunately had someone staying above us that had little kids because we woke up to them running back and forth across the floor in the morning. They have a continental breakfast area but we did not get up early enough to check it out. We did go down and get some free coffee by the front desk and it was nice and hot. We would definately consider staying at this hotel again when we come in town for the games.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor if you don't want to hear people walking across the floor.
