Perhaps this is a new listing is because of confusion - this restaurant has come, gone, come back, then moved over many years of serving this community. Much has happened.
It first appeared in a strip center near the old Target location on Texas Ave., next door to what has become Outback Steakhouse. At that time, it was as advertised, the very best hamburger this town had ever tasted, even displaying the fresh meat through a window to their butcher shop - the fresh bread needed no window for its great smell also greeted you while waiting in a typical long line.
They closed down this spot, but later reopened & expanded with a sunroom experience. It was here that Scout & sport groups found a rare spot large enough to hold big member meetings and be treated right.
They closed this down and remodeled the current spot, once known as Rita's (which was our very best family restaurant of all time; even though head & shoulders above Chili's, Rita's gave up when Chili's came to town boohoo). At this current spot, things changed. Where's the "I care" greeters/order takers at the of this sometimes long line? Who cares about sitting in stylized booths? Do you have to be a football halfback to weave in-out to get a burger, condiments, drinks w/o being tackled?
Where's that great beef?!?!?
We'll try again someday & update this review.
