“Mixed bag but would return”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

Pros:
Room layout-nice kitchenette, nice sitting area, large TV
Comfortable bed, good shower
Clean
Bar in lobby
Way above average breakfast
Friendly staff
Quite

Cons:
No body lotion in bath
Kitchenette had nothing in it- no plates,no glasses, no silverware
No bureau or dresser with drawers

All and all more positives than negatives.

Attention to detail would vastly improve the experience

Room Tip: We were roadside and did not hear anything

Have worked in College Station several times - but this was my first stay at the Hyatt Place and I'd definitely rate it highest among properties in town at which I've been a guest. Rooms are really nice, with a den-type area which includes a large sofa, desk/chair and kitchen conveniences (sink, small frigdge). Comfy bed and separate sink outside the shower/toilet area also worth noting. Very friendly staff, limited (but solid) food options on site - including a free (though small) breakfast. Convenient to numerous off-site dining options and Texas A&M. Would definitely return.

This is the first Hyatt Place that has had a bath tub in their rooms with King Beds, which is my preference. Enjoy the layout of Hyatt Place hotels with the separate sofa area from the bed area.

2 items why it didn't get a 5.
1. only have pepsi products (no coca cola products) and very limited at that. if i have to have pepsi, then want a root beer.
2. had to ask 3 times to have the receipt e-mailed to me. first when i checked out, second called the next day and finally the third time I finally got the e-mail.

This is a new, clean property that makes for a great stay. It's the first visit to this concept hotel and I think the Hyatt brand is on to something. The rooms are spacious. Ours had a comfortable king bed, huge sofa enough to seat eight people, small kitchen/dining and small bathroom. The included breakfast was excellent. Several kinds of hot breakfast sandwiches, pancakes one day french toast the next and all the regular breakfast items. There is a bar and fresh snacks available at all times next to a comfortable sitting area. The location is within a short distance to many restaurants and some shops. You cannot walk to Texas A&M.

Our son participated in a Triathlon in College Station in July. Since we had two Hyatt Place hotels reserved for an August roadtrip we decided to check out what we would experience in Memphis and Roanoke during our drive to Washington DC. The hotel was great and set a high expectation for us. Great variety at the breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. It was just one night be we were convinced with the Hyatt Place brand. College Station location was much nicer than Memphis and Roanoke.

I enjoyed my stay at Hyatt Place at College Station because of the great customer service and warm atmosphere. From the wonderful and beautiful smile from Victoria to greet you every morning. To the tireless task that Arron helped us out with, concerning shuttle service and information of where to go and what to do. Great staff and clean rooms. I will stay here again on my next visit to College station.

Victoria at Hyatt Place in CS was very nice and helpful with my unusual request. Wanted wine and special set as surprise up for my daughters bachelorette party. She was very accomodating and I have no doubt it will all be big hit. Will definitely stay tere on our next trip to CS and Aggie events!
