“We feel like we found a local treasure!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2012 via mobile

Very nice decor, paint, flowers and patio at this cozy restaurant. It was our first visit as we live close to it. We had the Pee See Ewe and Coconut chicken, both had excellent flavors and traditional spice options. Also had chicken spring rolls, which were petit but perfectly sized. The big treat however was the fresh mango with coconut milk and sticky rice. It was our first experience with this desert, as it is seasonal, but it was awesome! This would be worth stopping by just for this alone. Can't wait to go back, it's our new favorite Thai restaurant.

“Do not let the Hostess be your waitress”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

I have been here 20ish times....friends...husband...etc. The food is decent and the atmosphere is cute...it is an old long john silvers. If you go at an off time you get better service b/c only a few tables are seated. If you go during the noon hour or 6 or 7pm hour it is about 75% full. We have always just had service here. Nothing exceptional but we enjoyed the lunch prices and the lunch crowd was always great. We went for dinner...and yikes. We could not get water refilled and we had to wait forever for food and to order. At the end of our dinner the hostess came over as we were sill eating...my husband had his fork to his mouth...she asked "are you ready for you check?" and put her hands on his plate and picked it up. He said, "i am not done with that." She agressively put it down and stood there and wait for him to finish. We were in total shock. We will never dine here again. Way toooo many great places to eat in the DFW area and we are fotunate to have so many asian cuisines and eateries.

The food was excellent and the service even better! The basil dishes are wonderful. Be sure to get the strawberry green tea!

“Great food, great people, great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2011

It's not often you find a Thai restaurant in the U.S. that remains true to its roots -- while also accommodating the palates of the locals. Coconut Thai Grill does just that, satisfying my wife (who's Thai) and my family (who are westerners - or farangs as the Thais say). This is by far and away our favorite restaurant, with staff that makes you feel so special and food that leaves you coming back for more. Run - don't walk - to Coconut Thai, and take advantage of the outdoor patio dining before the summertime heat starts to dominate!
