Homey, warm, and comfortable. Ultra clean and spacious rooms with peace and quiet. Our favorite place to relax and enjoy the Gruene and Canyon Lake area. Jennifer always makes our stay such a pleasure!!

First time staying here. I fish the Guadalupe almost every year. I usually stay in Austin but wanted to try something closer this year. We were checked in by Jennifer who was great. The rooms are well furnished, very clean. The temperature control was great. Shower pressure and hot water excellent. There is no daily housekeeping. It was chilly during our stay so we didn't take advantage of the outdoor spaces. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip.

I've been coming to the Holiday Lodge once a year for the past 5 years, and will continue to go! Rooms are super, rates are super, location is super, and the service is awesome. I've come for primarily business, but sometimes with my husband. The rooms have everything one needs regardless of the trip, and again, the rates are super for such a nice accommodation.

This place is great, we really felt we were miles away from Austin. The room was well appointed and clean and very affordable. Weather did not cooperate however, we had a great time sitting, reading and watching deer in the patio area. Deer liked celery, carrots and apple and my kid was thrilled feeding the deer. Decent local places to eat. Hilly regions around Canyon lake area are nice places to walk or bike and work up a good appetite. Mark and Jennifer are friendly folks, made sure we were acquainted with the place so we could enjoy our stay.

Very nice room & very clean. Very nice features in the room and a quiet property and location. Very close to the lake / boat launch area. Jennifer is super friendly and provided great restaurant tips. I actually will plan on coming here again next year! I wouldn't say this is a "luxury" hotel or a "trendy" hotel. This is what I want out of a hotel - a clean, quiet, accessible hotel for a reasonable price. Considering ~$120/night will get you a night at most major hotel chains, the Holiday Lodge on Canyon Lake delivered at or above amenities found a major chains.

Room tip: An upstairs room would rule out the possibility of an upstairs neighbor tromping around.
