The owner is gracious, friendly without being intrusive, has lots of stories to swap if you want, and very responsive to anything you might ask or need to make your stay enjoyable. I found myself tucked away in an idyllic country setting charming pond, plenty of wildlife entertainment (redbirds, of course), rustic gardens that add without detracting from the natural beauty of the place. My traveling companion and I had a lovely Country French styled room, complete with all the touches of home--cozy full-length robes, bath essentials, TV for viewing VHS movies, books & games, loads of fluffy towels. The owner had extensive knowledge of the area, and we did not lack for things to do (local museum, beautiful park with Frisbe golf, shopping (Go the weekend after 1st Monday of the Month for a humongous flea market, lots of restaurants to choose from. The breakfasts were delicious and B&B quality all the way. Everything was well-kept except for a few bits of brick-a-brac in drawers and dust bunnies under my bed (which I would not have noticed except for having to scoot under to get my head risers in place). We could have used another outlet considering our 2 cell phone chargers and the electric teapot we were allowed to use. No pool or fitness center.
