This place used to be the Ranchero. Somehow, they must still be connected, or have the same cooks, because they still have the wonderful strawberry cobbler. However, the service is very different. With very few tables seated, we had to ask pass-by waitresses for our needs...more water, condiments, etc. When we were ready to leave, no one brought our tab. So, we went to the cashier, and she asked about the waitress bringing it,,,so we waited and one showed up that we had never seen.....she told the cashier that she was ours and handed her our check. With all of that said, the food is good for a roadside buffet: chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, freshly baked rolls, good salad choices, and if you are in the mood......Mexican dishes. None of the vegetables tasted like they were from a can. We will go back, but will insist on our own personal waitress when we are seated.
