This was my first experience in Canton and it was unique. My cousin chose this accommodation for its location. It is located on "The Mountain" in Canton and there were numerous shops and snack stops within steps of our room, which was the Cowgirls Gone Wild Room.
The good - The location, the ease of check in, the view, the patio, the atmosphere and immediate surrounds outside.
The not so good - The price (we were quoted and paid $55pp/per night - yes it was our choice to pay and stay). The room was cramped; one small bathroom for up to six people. Other than the beds and the patio, there was no seating area. The only amenities were toilet paper and a two small bars of soap. There was a small tv, microwave and refrigerator. I got the bottom bunk and on numerous occasions one to all of the slats would fall off. Our room was not serviced after the first night (thinking back not sure that was explained or included). The patio had adequate seating to enjoy the music to be heard down the path, but it was pretty dirty, items strewn and a chair overturned.
The gun fights and karoake make for a good tourist attraction, but, in my opinion, the price was a tad too much.
We ate at La Pizza Chateau on The Mountain one night. It was BYOB. The food was very good, fresh made and they had a nice young man covering songs.
