I hadn't planned on staying here but Best Western had lost my reservation so I called and got a reservation here. First off, this is an older hotel and the access to rooms is outside, which doesn't bother me and I actually prefer this arrangement when traveling with my dogs...BUT IF YOU'RE UPSTAIRS, THERE IS NO ELEVATOR...Be aware of that. You will have to climb two flights of stairs with all of your luggage. While checking in, a group of other people came in and they had reserved 12 rooms. Their reservations were lost. The manager threatened to call the police if they didn't leave immediately. Granted, the people with the lost reservations got a little upset, I can't blame them for that but no effort was made to try to help them out at all.
Anyway, this hotel is apparently Indian owned and operated. The cleaning people were obviously fresh into the country from India and spoke little to no English. I never could make them understand I only needed towels so I finally gave up on that.
The surrounding lawn was overgrown and had stickers which made it a challenge to walk my dogs.
The room was nice and big, it appeared clean. The bathroom was never swept while we were there, although the carpet did get vacuumed.
A rock would have probably been as comfortable as the beds were. Very hard. I did check for bed bugs before moving into the room and found no evidence of them.
Be aware also if you are traveling with pets there is a $10. fee per pet added to your bill.
If you plan to stay here, unless you want to climb stairs, be very specific that you want downstairs...
