“Seriously in need of TLC”

It was pet friendly and on the way, so that's a bonus and the staff was very friendly and helpful but in serious need of TCL. Lots of deferred maintance. To bad as it could be a nice place. The shower did not work and the door did not lock. In fact it appeared the door had been kicked open.

I hadn't planned on staying here but Best Western had lost my reservation so I called and got a reservation here. First off, this is an older hotel and the access to rooms is outside, which doesn't bother me and I actually prefer this arrangement when traveling with my dogs...BUT IF YOU'RE UPSTAIRS, THERE IS NO ELEVATOR...Be aware of that. You will have to climb two flights of stairs with all of your luggage. While checking in, a group of other people came in and they had reserved 12 rooms. Their reservations were lost. The manager threatened to call the police if they didn't leave immediately. Granted, the people with the lost reservations got a little upset, I can't blame them for that but no effort was made to try to help them out at all.

Anyway, this hotel is apparently Indian owned and operated. The cleaning people were obviously fresh into the country from India and spoke little to no English. I never could make them understand I only needed towels so I finally gave up on that.

The surrounding lawn was overgrown and had stickers which made it a challenge to walk my dogs.

The room was nice and big, it appeared clean. The bathroom was never swept while we were there, although the carpet did get vacuumed.

A rock would have probably been as comfortable as the beds were. Very hard. I did check for bed bugs before moving into the room and found no evidence of them.

Be aware also if you are traveling with pets there is a $10. fee per pet added to your bill.

Room Tip: If you plan to stay here, unless you want to climb stairs, be very specific that you want downstairs...

The room was average size with two queen beds. The carpet was pretty stained and dirty. The comforters looked like they hadn't been washed in months. The bathroom was clean, however the shower had several places that looked mildewy and could use a new coat of caulking. The bathtub and the sink both drained VERY slowly. Overall it was a place to lay your head. We would stay there again in a pinch.

I travel over 70% of the month with my business and exclusively stay at choice hotels if at all possible. I booked this hotel in Canton tx for a relaxing weekend with my husband using my points earned. We had a sudden family emergency (my father in law is very sick) and needed to cancel 2 days prior because now we needed to travel to Fort Smith Arkansas. Customer Service with Choice was very friendly but it would be up to the hotel manager if I could cancel because this hotel has a 5 DAY cancellation policy. No other hotel does that!!! When customer service had no luck I called myself hoping to explain the severity but he was very rude and stated there was a 5 Day cancellation policy no mater what!! Now anyone to goes to Canton knows he will probably have no trouble booking this room but was completely unhelpful at all.!!! I wish there was a rating worse than terrible I wouldn't even give this hotel 1 Star.

I travel alot and come through Canton many times a month. I have stayed at all the hotels but have not found one like Quality Inn & Suites. Their staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and the beds were very nice. They accomodated my every need to a t.
This is the ONLY hotel in canton worth my money.

Room rate $192.09. Bathroom disgusting-I cleaned hair off floor with Clorax wipes and took down to front desk, one bulb out of six working above sink, toothpaste residue in sink, broken towel bar beside toilet. Tub needed comet and a brush!! Manager refused to call back and never in the building. We come to First Mondays and will tell all not to stay here!!!!!

Room Tip: Bad expensive experience!!!!

We decided to stop in Canton for the night on the way to Sweetwater. The pool & hot tub area looked really nice, but we were too tired to enjoy it! We asked the ladies at the front desk where they recommended we eat. They advised us to go to Dairy Palace, it was very good! The room was nice & clean, beds comfortable, staff was friendly, & it was very quiet. The only negative was the breakfast was just so-so. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side by the pool area, it is very quiet.
