“Looking forward to going back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

My girlfriends and I stayed here for our yearly Christmas shopping trip to Canton and we could have not been more pleased. The moment you pull up you feel relaxed and ready for an escape. The property is on a small county road but when you pull in its well lit and extremely well maintained. There is a beautiful pond and lots of land with even some longhorns on it! Gina (the property manager) met us as we pulled in and was very nice and pleasant and showed us our room and around the property. In the morning the staff had breakfast for us and chatted with us on what they had to offer in shopping and what to look for. After all day of shopping in Canton we came home worn out and they were having a bonfire on the property and just sitting around chatting. We ended up having to call Gina to get some extra towels and a can opener and she was at our room within a matter of minuets with the items.
I was so impressed that I think my girlfriends and I may have found our "new place" to stay every year!

Our group from church stayed for our ladies retreat at the Rock High Ranch and we had the best of times. The staff are great, the accomodations are the best and the food was wonderful! The Ranch is awesome! We are looking forward to another great stay this next year.

2 wks before wedding, made a trip to finalize everything. It seemed organized & they were excited to have us. The day of wedding some of the furniture was to be removed so
we could decorate. The wedding was at 6:30 pm. and they were moving furniture at 1:00 p.m. they seemed a bit, put out. The organizing of seating arrangement was fine at
rehersal but right before wedding to begin we seem concerned about line up on family
seating and they more less said we know what we were doing. The grooms grandmother was seated in wrong chair and grandmother had to move chairs around
to make room during the wedding. They had stated they had an ice machine,at the last minute we were told it did not work . Was buying ice at 2:00 p.m.buying ice at 2:p.m. Was
also told the cover for the pool gazebo would be resewn and put on, it was not. We had
over 200 people at this wedding, the staffing seemed small for such a big wedding and
as the night went on we were rushed on ending the night sooner than was told when
the reservations were made to begin with. Also was told what time to have decor out
the next morning and was also asked if we could get it out sooner.
The wedding was beautiful the place was wonderful but the owners and the staff
the minute we arrived seemed put out they even had to be there. The brides parents
put alot into this wedding to have this kind of treatment.

From the moment I stepped on the property I felt so relaxed and peaceful. The staff was fabulous and this place is beautiful. If you are looking for a place to go to get some peace and quiet then you should be HERE!!! You can tell the owners take such pride in what they do. There isn't anything they wouldn't do for you. And there is such attention to detail in the rooms and manor house-like being at home. Except you don't have to clean :) This was not my most extravagant vacation, but it was one of the most relaxing breaks from the daily grind I may have ever had. Two thumbs up for certain!! I will definately be back!

I found this lodging on tripadvisor.com while searching for a location to celebrate a family holiday. There is nothing to say that is not good. I hesitated to even write a review because we have definite plans to return. The staff was friendly and kind. We had booked the cottage for 3 nights and a room for 2 nights. Kim called us to make sure that "we didn't have any unpleasant surprises" on that 3rd night.

The property was beautiful. There are 2 friendly dogs, Randy and Oreo. Just don't let Oreo know you have food in your hand- he tends to jump. After spending a day shopping at Trade Days, you should take another day and use the golf cart rental to roam the 200 acres. We had an absolute blast searching out the stocked ponds, the donkeys and the longhorns.

The cottage's kitchen was not equipped for a full out family invasion but we made it work. Having breakfast available in the guest center was a nice perk and the food was delicious, served by very accommodating staff. The beds were so comfortable in both the Beaumont room and the cottage. Even the trundle bed was better than most hotel rooms.

The owners were in Kansas City while we were there but they should rest assured that the staff takes excellent care of their guests in their absence. I can't imagine staying anywhere else while visiting Trade Days.

The Staff at Rock High Ranch started us out with a fantastic impression before we even arrived. From the initial reservation, they were quick to answer any questions we had, and very flexible with our requests.

The property is beautiful, and the accommodations didn't let us down. We honestly felt as though we were house-sitting for some wealthy friends.

We loved it, and plan to return.

This is a beautiful property. Just stayed there in conjunction with a wedding. The rooms were excellent - well maintained, nice decor - wouldn't change a thing. Property was very nice - horseshoes, a bonfire, a pool, and we even got to go on a hayride. Great food too and very friendly and accomodating staff. Perfect for a retreat, wedding, etc. Highly recommend.
