“Last Minute Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Booked hotel at the last minute the night of arrival and got a reasonable rate and slept well. Nice and clean bed was super comfortable with the exception of the pull out sofa bed that my poor hubby had to sleep on while the kids and I slept on the king bed. We skipped breakfast so can't review that. Hotel front desk staff was very nice and friendly. Also we didn't get to use the indoor pool as we were headed to the outlets.

I depend on irons working. Mine did not. I notified front desk. IF they did replace it, it still did not work again. Other than that every thing else was just fine. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and well lit. TV was a little slow in Channel changing and can't the channels/stations until up close. Good water pressure and temperature (a must or I check out.). Breakfast area was clean, inviting, and tasted good. Good location near restaurants. I will return.

The hotel is right on 35 W with easy on and off. We were attending a wedding and arrived at the hotel later than we had hoped to because of traffic on 35W. We explained that to the front desk, and he quickly checked us in so we could get ready and make the wedding on time. He also provided directions, which were correct, and we were able to make the wedding on time.

The hotel was what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. It was neat and clean, and well maintained.

Room clean, good breakfast, close to South Austin, close to Cabelas, several restaurants in the area. A bit difficult to reach, behind several businesses, but can see the hotel from Highway 35 to locate entrance.

This is a clean hotel, the beds are very comfy, and it is very roomy. My only complaint is the front desk guy was unfriendly and being a priority club member at all other holiday Inns they give me a bottle of water, this guy made us choose either water or points! How dumb! Of course I wanted my points!

I specifically chose this hotel cuz we wanted to stay close to Austin but not deal with all the traffic. Convenient locale as there was fast food & a Wal-Mart across the freeway. We were given a room designed for handicapped people as there was no tub in the bathroom, which would've not been a problem had we not taken our 14 month old. I asked for another room with a tub but still didn't get what we wanted, however we did get a HUGE room, which my wife was more than happy with as our little one exercised his legs with reckless abandon! The buffet breakfast was typical for Holiday Inn: pre-made biscuits, powdered eggs, & thick sausage gravy. The ceiling fan in our room was noisy & only one light in the bathroom so it wasn't very subtle 1st thing in the morning. Overall, a good value for the price.

We stayed here this time last year also and we still find the beds to be excellent. We were disappointed that when we came down for Sunday morning breakfast right at 10:00 (rather early weekend close time) nearly everything had already been cleared out and put away.
