“Tired & sketchy, no hair dryer”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

Not too clean, not too comfortable, not too safe, not too quiet (next door roosters!), no hair dryer - even "on request" as the website states. Paid just as much as we did for a super nice hotel the previous weekend, but sometimes you take what you can get in the TAMU area :(

Overall: hated everything about it, but would stay again in an emergency-need only situation.

First room had broken door lock and deadbolt did not work. Front desk clerk promptly put us in another room.
Second room, outside vent cover for heating/air unit all kicked in - not a good start. Dead bolt only worked if door lifted up by strong person and then engaged. This room need a really good cleaning throughout and carpet was filthy and curtains could be washed. No tub plug - there was something in there but it did not work. Did not want to bathe there anyway. Phone did not work but it was replaced promptly by front desk clerk. Outside stairwell treads covered in ceramic tiles and some were missing and lying around leaving a slippery loose dried glue spots where the tiles had been - hazardous. Bed clean and comfortable. Outside pool dirty with debris on the bottom - not useable. Outside walks 1' ceramic tiles, some missing, some broken, nothing swept up - hazardous to walk. Breakfast scarce - cereal, milk, waffles [only syrup supplied]. watery coffee. Internet access OK. Staff, extremely helpful and nice and did all they could - it is the owner who needs to take ownership of this place and spend some money.

Room Tip: No tip as won't stay there again until they do some maintenance and cleaning. The hotel has goo...

BEWARE! DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. We had reservations and when we looked at the rooms the rugs are absolutely filthy and are shredded where they go into the bath area. One of the rooms smelled horrible and when we asked about another room, we were told "well, we just fumigated. That's probably what you smell". So not only are they filthy they must have bugs. We did not stay. And then they charged my credit card for the night anyway. When I called to complain, I was told that because I did not cancel earlier they were charging me for one night. Hello, if I had seen the condition of the place earlier I would have cancelled. And to be told that the photos on the website are the photos of the rooms; that they had replaced the carpets 1 year ago, and that they catered to "working class people" is outrageous. So its ok to have filthy carpets for working class people. You all take your money and go stay somewhere else. This Inn in Bryan is the worst.

Room Tip: The best tip to choosing a good room is go find another place with clean rooms.

It's one thing for a motel to be old but, it's really bad when they are dirty. This place is run down, gross and dirty! Unfortunately, they take advantage of the limited hotels available for events at A&M. STAY AWAY!

Believe the other reviews. No hot water. No hair dryer in the room. This is an older, NOT well maintained motel. This hotel was booked on a home game day for Texas A&M, so it was one of the last available rooms without having to drive to another town. Given an opportunity to do-over, we would have driven.

We were fortunate enough to find another room at another hotel in College Station. The room we checked into, but left after 5 minutes was dirty and smelled horrible. I can't remember a worse hotel room ever. I do appreciate the fact that I was allowed to cancel my reservation with no charge.

The weekend was a home football game for A&M so accommodations were at a premium. My husband was having surgery at St Joseph and I just needed a clean place to sleep, but this hotel barely fit that criteria. The room was adequate, but smelled musty. I checked with the front desk to make sure it was a nonsmoking room. He assured me it was. I bought an air freshener to see if it would help. The ice machines were not working, but we weren't told until we asked for ice. It would have been nice to know when we were out so we could have picked up some. Just generally run down and not a good choice.

Room Tip: Pick any room in Bryan, but one at this location
