“Great Golf”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

I have not staying at the hotel as of yet, but plan on staying the weekend of May 10th.
This review is for the golf that is offered at this resort. It is superb.
The staff at the club are great, personable and well informed very friendly which is a plus because as a women golfer you don't always get the positive treatment as men golfers would. It was a pleasure coming back and a golfing. The resort has gone through a transformation since changing ownership and it is very apparent that the new ownership is taking a great deal of pride in this product. we will be coming back and bringing some friends for their Birthday weekend and staying at the hotel and golfing the couple of days we are there and we are looking forward to another wonderful weekend.

We stayed at this resort on a Tuesday through Thursday and it was very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for us since we were travelling with a 5 year old and a 2 year old and I wasn't quite sure how "kid friendly" it would be. Our room was large and comfortable with lots of storage space, if one is staying for an extended period of time. The front desk staff was very helpful in giving us directions to sights in Boerne and the staff at the restaurant went above and beyond. The chef offered to bring our two boys free cupcakes at dinner one night and at breakfast our server offered to bring out a wet wachcloth to wipe my 2 year olds sticky fingers (he had pancakes). The food was excellent - we recommend the Texas redfish!

We just returned this weekend from a wedding at Tapatio Springs Resort and while the area is very peaceful, the service at this "resort" is absolutely non existent.

I'm not even sure where to begin; the check-in process took 20+ minutes as the person in front of us was checking in 5 individuals and reconfirming or their changing rooms; the clubhouse dining room is staffed by kids who don't know the definition of service - had to ask 4 times for the drink I ordered and received silverware and napkin after repeated requests and my food was cold; and the worst example was when the bar manager threatened to kick us off the property and call the police when our party of 6 tried to enjoy the patio after they were closed for the night. The experience with this one individual alone is reason for me to never return or suggest this "resort" to anyone.

The rooms are clean, if not a little sparse, and most rooms had nice views. The entire place could stand for an upgrade, but overall the quality of the rooms were okay.

Once again the staff was pleasant and friendly and eager to please. The rooms are nice, the view is beautiful. It is very peaceful there. The La Cascada restaurant is also very good with excellent service.

We had several meals here while staying at resort. All were excellent, and the wait staff made each meal special. Breakfast was delicious french toast with blueberries and also strawberries. Coffee was great and enjoyed having a pot for the table! Dinner one night was some of the best steak we had while in Texas. Our waitress (from Canada) was so friendly and came around to talk to us next night while we had a light dinner at bar. The bartender(sorry I can not remember her name) made excellent choices for us. The wings and onion rings were just what we wanted. Also she was very nice and friendly. In fact, this resort has some of the best staff anywhere. It's nice when the staff actually remember you from your previous stay. Go for the food at La Cascada, but enjoy that amazing view.! It is so relaxing. This resort is always my top choice when in this area.

Room Tip: we had a corner room that was very quiet. Also enjoyed the ground floor.

We really enjoyed our stay! The resort was very nice and our room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was outstanding. The restaurant was short staffed in the evening so the service was a little slow but we weren't in a hurry anyway. Overall it was a very relaxing and peaceful stay. We are looking forward to going back again!!

The staff was excellent: I was running late and called the wrong number(got the restaurant) and they were very empathetic did not transfer me to the reservation area said they would call them and let them know. With .and my skeptic self I found the right number and called when I was on the way. And Bless God he had in fact called - once again the staff was very nice they said take your time we will be here waiting for you.
When I got there my room was ready and immaculate. Wonderful supply of toiletries and within walking distance to the patio. I came alone but was not lonely - everybody I met was very friendly. I was very pleased in the way that when we left they made sure we were not driving (since we had a few drinks) but fortunately we all had walked. It was a refreshing way to make sure that we were safe. Loved it. Kinda hated to leave. But next year is not that far away.

Room Tip: You cannot go wrong in any room that you get. Even if you see the ice machine right outside your do...
