“Finally, a cheese coney like the old days!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

Soda Pops is a 50s-styled, counter service hamburger joint in downtown Boerne - just across from Main Plaza. They offer burgers with various toppings, corny dogs, grilled sandwiches, and salads. Sides include french fries, onion rings, and tots. The BEST thing they offer is a true chili cheese coney - just like Sonic's cheese coneys used to be before the lawyers took over Sonic many years ago and changed the recipes. The cheese coney is fantastic! If you have been looking for an old-fashioned cheese coney - you will find it here. Make sure to order it with mustard and onions for the true taste. Dipped in ketchup - it's awesome! I found the burgers average and a little dry, but family members choose burgers and chili cheeseburgers, and burgers seem to be the most ordered item. Sides are the usual frozen variety, but onion rings are not that bad for frozen. Fried pickles here are fried pickle spears - terrible taste compared to fried pickle chips - won't order those again. Brother likes chili cheese tots - again with the chili. Portions are equivalent to prices - reasonable. Few bar seats inside - most seating covered outdoors. Hot rod/car show on some Friday nights. Worth a try, especially that delicious coney!

“Something different”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2012

Fried pickles were really good. Burger were nothing special and fries were over cooked. It does have a neat atmosphere and it's friendly.
