River View is a lovely stone house built in 1939 that has retained many of its original features. The back yard is adjacent to a quiet little state park along the Blanco River. You can swim or fish in the river just out the back gate. (Park fees are minimal)
Breakfast is a do-it-yourself affair here. The host provides juice, coffee and tea as well as pancake mix and dry cereal. While here, we made a trip to the grocery store and bought stuff to make lunches and dinners in the well equipped kitchen, thus saving money on meals.
Beds were very comfortable (2 queens, 1 king and a queen aerobed) and the living areas were large and well furnished. We spent a good deal of time out on the sun porch visiting and playing games.
