I went to Spanish Inn and needless to say I will never go back there. The service was so poor. My friend had ordered a glass of tea. When she got it she didn't like the taste of it (probably because of the fact that it was made with Big Spring tap water). She sent it back and asked for a Dr. Pepper. My other friend had gotten the Mexican Plate and his rice was literally unrecognizable. It really did look like baby food, it was mush. He had also got a gaucamole chalupa, which looked like it was 2 days old because it was the gaucamole was so brown and the shell was soggy. By the time we had gotten the check we had noticed that the server didn't take the tea off of the ticket. So, we asked for them to take it off of our ticket since my friend had only taken one drink out of it. The owner wasn't too happy and started acting like we were trying to dupe her by saying that Dr. Pepper wasn't on the ticket when it actually was. So, she actually charged us for two cokes but took off the tea (???). We let it go...whatever. My friend came back to the table because we had to pay with either cash or check. As I was filling out the check, the owner went to our server, where we could hear her, and started getting on to her for not charging us for the beer that we had ordered. The server told her that it was all on there...and it was. She then proceeded to come to our table and accuse us of not paying for the beer. My friend told her all about how the food was and told her to just drop it because we were paying for everything that we had gotten, plus some. I wrote the check, and we took it up to the front, and we started to get cursed out by one of the servers that wasn't even near us the whole time we were there. So, we looked like we were the problem in front of other customers. The server was soo rude, she was even cursing and yelling at us in front of little kids when we had done nothing wrong. We just didn't think it was necessary to have to pay for a $1.30 tea that had not been drank.
Their actions cost them maybe 30 cents and customers that will never be back again.
To say the least, we will never be back again...by the way, they do recycle their chips and salsa.
