“Great beach (caribbean side), great bar and amazing people (owners)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

We went to CockleShell Beach, where Reggae Beach Bar is, because we wanted to get out of our resort and wanted to have a taste of local people and local food. Honestly we did not expect to meet such amazing people and chill in this little corner of Paradise.
It is usually very quite and secluded, however when there is a ship (cruises) in town, taxis take the tourists to Reggae Beach Bar and it can get really busy. But when it's quite, it is heaven ;-)
My best friend and I were there to relax and the music was really good so we wanted to tell them that we loved the music. They actually put the playlist on a USB key for us (we had to provide them the USB key). They were very nice and welcoming. Gary is the owner and his kids work with him. Jason is a chef who studied cooking in New York and is totally passionate about food! Extremely friendly people and beautiful beach location.

“Not real impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013 via mobile

Went here as our stop on our tour of St. Kitts. This was supposed to be the top beach to go to. We had lunch first. Chicken fingers were ok. Chicken wings were ok. The hambugers were ok. The chicken leg was ok. Conch chowder soup was good. Prices were of course higher that the states. Service was pretty good. Fund the beach to be small, crowded and $5 to rent a chaise lounge. So for 6 people figure $150 for lunch and chaise lounges not including getting there.

“The "Little Grass Shack" is a Dream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

We traveled so far to feel right at home. We missed Wilbur The Pig but became friends with the monkey. To be able to hang at the bar that is just steps from the beach was heaven. We only had a day. But we WILL be back...perhaps this time we will rent the nearby apartment and REALLY enjoy paradise.....

“Raggae Beach Bar is a great place to visit for cruise passengers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

We visited Raggae Bar on our recent visit to St. Kitts, while on a Carnival Cruise. We didn't eat at the bar, but found the drinks to be reasonably priced. We sat at chairs in the shade on the beach. The service was fast and the server was very friendly. We were told that there was a $5 fee per chair, but was not charged the fee when we placed drink orders. The restrooms were clean. The beach was beautiful. You could see Nevis in the distance. They had watersports for rent and on-the-beach massages available. They have orphaned monkeys in an outdoor cage for viewing. The cost for a taxi from the cruise port is $7 per person. The taxi ride to Cockelshell Beach is beautiful, as you ride thru the hills on the southern portion of the island.

“A good spot for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

A nice little restaurant right on the beach. There was a decent selection of food on the menu & when the food arrived we were surprised by the good sized portions. Free wifi was also available so you can eat, swim & keep in touch with family & friends back home.
