“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

Went in the early morning, no wait, but was raining a bit. Weather broke and we were in the forest. Loved seeing the native plants and close up of the forest that you cannot see from your car. Saw a bear cub and lots of deer. Guide was nice, check in was easy. Overall, very nice experience.

“Family Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

This was my third time taking my family horseback riding in Cades Cove. The facility is as clean as you can get with a herd of horses and the staff are very friendly. For a family of four with children, it set me back over $130 for a hour ride. We only had to wait about 20 minutes on a Tuesday in late July. The trail was easy with no spectacular sites or views - just pine and hardwood forest and a small creek crossing. When I was younger they use to take you up into the mountains, but now the trail stays in the valley. Maybe that was a different package. My kids loved the opportunity to ride horses. The stables also sponsor Cades Cove loop hayrides in the mornings and evenings, which I recommend as well.

“Very nice, and relaxing ride.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

My G-friend and I went on a ride, and fell in love with Cades Cove. The ride goes through the woods, and last about an hour. The traffic was not that bad, and we got to see alot of the locations.

“Great experience from start to finish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

The only thing my kids wanted to do while on vacation was go horseback riding. I looked at many reviews from several companies and decided on Cades Cove Riding Stables based on the positive comments. They did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly, professional, and obviously loved those horses. We felt very comfortable allowing our kids, ages 10 and 9 to give it a try. At one point my daughter let the reigns accidently fall and the guide stopped, tied up her horse, and got off to help her get going again. The trail is very beautiful, taking you through a stream and up the mountain before coming back down. We saw some deer and wild turkey. They said they see bear about 3-4 times a week but no luck for us. If you're thinking about horseback riding in the smokies, go here, relaxing, enjoyable time.

The people were friendly and answered lots of questions about the area and the horses. The price was good and the trail sights were fantastic. Really enjoyed this!
