Let me start by saying that for a wedding venue, you can't find anyplace more beautiful than the Lilly Barn in full bloom. With all the lilies and other flowers in bloom it’s truly a romantic and gorgeous destination to enjoy your special day. It looks like a forgotten secret garden. And as long as you don't expect much in the way of service, you'll have a great overall experience. Having said that, if you expect anything more than the privilege to stand on the property and basic set up/take down, then your experience will go downhill very fast.
I’m not going to go into all the gory details, but bottom line is that the customer service was practically non-existent in the days/months leading up to the wedding and was barely there on the day of. The staff was border line insulting throughout the process and downright rude the day of the wedding. I don’t believe we were asking for too much in the way of set up/take down assistance, or general customer service (i.e. timely call backs, straight answers, etc.).
The food is required to be catered by Miss Lilly’s Catering, which is owned by the Lilly Barn. We stuck with the BBQ theme and the food seemed to be very good and feedback from our guests was positive. Josh the catering manager was helpful throughout the entire process and was perhaps the one bright spot in the customer service arena.
