“Great small hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

Clean and comfortable. Sparse and dated. Great price. Enjoying a nice long weekend at this quaint hotel. Everything you need in a hotel. No extras but well worth the price. I would have no problem staying here again. It's not the place for hotel snobs but just right for a tight budget and for a place to sleep while exploring the Smokies.

We were thrilled to find the Riverstone Lodge on our last-minute getaway to Townsend. Belinda and Karen were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable and seemed recently updated. The campfire and rocking chairs were a special bonus. Another plus -- the lodge is just across the street from the start of the Townsend bike path, so you can ride from your room. This is a wonderfully maintained older property with many amenities, especially for the price. We loved it and are already planning to come back.

We stayed at Riverstone Lodge three times in 2013. The last visit was two weeks ago and we are going again at the end of this month (January). We enjoy it more everytime we go. Very clean, friendly, family owned. Close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and if you love Cade's Cove it's as close as you can get. The restaurant next door and the Steak House are great and they offer a discount for hotel guests. Can't wait for our next trip!

Great hotel at the entrance of the Smoky Mountains. Literally 1/8 of mile.
The family owners live on-site and are very nice. Rooms are clean with extended cable and free wifi. There is a nightly fire in a beautiful patio area with rocking chairs or porch swings and the river flows behind. There is a restaurant nearly attached with good food and if you bring your room key, they give you a discount. $4.35 for breakfast!! I stumbled upon this and ended up staying 2 nights. 15 nice miles thru the foothills to Pigeon Forge for all the attractions, but a great way to end the day at this place, for sure!!

We have stayed here quite a few times now, and the owners just keep improving an already wonderful place. Quiet, good location, and a great value. The rooms and grounds are always clean and well kept. No frills here, just a peaceful place to stay and relax. We always enjoy the campfire at night with the other guests. When we were trying to decide where to stay for our wedding, this place was a no Brainer. We had a lovely chapel wedding in Gatlinburg and spent the evening by the campfire at the lodge. Needless to say, we will be back at riverstone in the near future!

The best place to stay in the Smoky Mountains.. Hands down.. And the restaurant is fabulous too! The mattresses were out of this world.. The owners are friendly. Made new friends every night around the fire pit.. Wonderful place. :)
