This trip we decided to stay on the 'quiet side' of the Smokies and this place did not disappoint. Our room was a bit smaller than those where we usually stay, but it was clean and comfortable. I didn't think to ask earlier when we checked in about pillows and linens for the couch where I was going to be sleeping, but later that night I was quickly accomodated when I did ask. Not only that, but the woman was so awesome as to bring me a huge mattress pad that I doubled up to make it more comfortable.
We joined in with about half a dozen other people who seemed to know each other at the nightly campfire they offer, where we got to listen to some great strumming and singing,
Rooms are nothing fancy and bathroom was small, but definitely clean and comfortable as I mentioned before. In room offerings also included a coffee pot, refrigerator, and microwave.
We discovered staying here was so much more easier than on the other side. It put us closer to Cades Cove where we wanted to go our first full day, and it was much easier to take Wears Valley Rd. up to Sevierville and Pigeon Forge than to fight all the traffic from Gatlinburg where we usually stay.
Will definitely stay here again!
