river rat is very friendly and curteous.....enjoyed the trip....they informed us prior to purchasing our tickets that the river was low and it might rain.....I laughed we were going to tube down the river and if it rained that meant we might get wet.....hahaha. there tubes are bigger than the others I seen in the river......would definately use them again

“Relaxing float down the Little River”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

After enjoying a week around Gatlinburg and in the Smokies, we enjoyed a nice leisurely trip down the Little River. It was nice and relaxing. The facilities were nice and clean and the staff was great. We asked for a place to eat nearby and they suggested the Campfire Grill which had some great food at a very reasonable price.

“The only way to float the Little River!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013 via mobile

We had a wonderful time on the river with River Rats. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. The facility was great. Changing rooms and restrooms were super clean. We brought our little Chihuahua out and they even made him welcome with lots of attention and his very own wristband too. The bus and driver was waiting on us at our exit point ready to help you out and get you back and ready to go again. I will definitely be back soon. I heard others people that had used River Rage and a few others complain about a lot but all is River Rats were happy!

“Easy, fun, safe, clean; quality experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

After checking out reviews on TripAdvisor, we chose River Rat. Everything was SO easy. Changing rooms were very spacious and immaculate.

I noticed that their already-sturdy tubes have an added layer of rubber material welded to the bottom, the same kind of material that they put on the bottom of white water rafts. The owners were friendly; they even offered us some of their sunscreen, in case we had forgotten our own. They were honest about the level of water (below average) and how much walking we'd have to do. In fact, he said we'd have to get up & walk a few times, but although we got "hung up" on rocks a time or two, we never had to get up & walk. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to float. Our daughters (9 & 11 yrs old) had no problems at all with the current, and loved it. The water is cold, but very clean most of the way. If you flip over on your tummy and look down, you will see the stones roll by, and occasionally see fish! You won't really need sunscreen; most of the way was in the shade. Do NOT bring your sunglasses; you won't need them and will probably lose them in the water. The exit is VERY clearly marked and impossible to miss, and it's easy to get out of the water and onto their ramp.

River Rat sells every size of water shoes (which are an absolute MUST) for $9.99 which is the same price as elsewhere, and these shoes stay on much better than other brands. We bought two pair. They also sell waterproof containers that hold your phone, and have a strap to go around your neck.

“Just good old cheap fun with the family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Love this...just fun with the family all day. You can pack your own lunch and eat it there or buy something at the snack shack and ride the river over and over.
