“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

Very nice place to stay. Nice to have a balcony that opens up for you to sit out on. Our room was on the side that had the creek and it was abeautiful view. Close to the Tanger Outlet Mall and all the major attractions. Will be definetly staying there again!! The only thing I wish they would change is the hot breakfast. It's the same everyday........change it up a little. please.

Clean, spacious rooms, fridge, microwave, room packets of coffee.
Beautiful lobby with game tables, Christmas decor, always have hot coffee or hot apple cider. Free newspapers. The staff is so kind and accommodating. We love this place and will never stay anywhere else on our dance trips we make to this area. Hot tub, clean pools indoors and out. All night pharmecy right next door. Wonderful restaurants in walking distance. Not noisey. Beautiful scenery and plenty of parking.
Rolling cars by the elevator to help with your load. We will always go here. Jenny, Columbiana, Alabama. Discounts for AAA, ALFA, AARP

Room Tip: We love the second floor. We like to walk to their huge and wonderul breakfast bar with real food...

We stayed here several years ago and were concerned that it may have deteriorated, but this hotel has been very well maintained. We enjoyed the clean, spacious, comfortable room, friendly staff, and convenient location. The terrace off the room was a nice extra.

We were looking for a bargain but when we passed by this hotel, we couldn't resist, as we loved it when we stayed several years ago. We asked what they had and they ONLY had a king suite with a jacuzzi (Aw, that was all? :-) They charged $75 for it on a Sunday night. The man on the elevator told us to be glad we hadn't checked in over the Christmas weekend as the same rooms were at $150 and up. Spacious room, lovely bed, mattress, pillows, sheets. Did not like the smell of the room but we could see that was just a fluke as the room was impeccably clean and well maintained. The jacuzzi was comfortable, the shower was marble and large with even a seating area. The breakfast said continental and the only thing missing for my husband was the peanut butter. Otherwise, there were biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, fruit, sweet rolls, eggs, sausages, yogurt, etc. Elevator and halls were clean. Nice not to be on the noisy area of the strip. We could see hotels across the way advertising special prices but felt like were in a bargain for an almost luxury hotel room. Heated pool and jacuzzi had no one in it.

Room Tip: We liked our 2nd floor room and the breakfast was served on the 2nd floor as well.

I had never been to this part of Tennessee and was very pleased with our accomadations. The rooms were very clean, spacious and had balconies that were perfect for enjoying the warm sunshine. The staff was great and helpful. Wonderfully kept grounds and pool area. The only thing that might be troublesome to some folks is the breakfast the same every day though it was tasty and warm and had a good variety. Great location and would definitely put this one on the list to "STAY AGAIN!!!".

Room Tip: THey seemed to be all good and pretty much alike. We had 3 rooms between our family and all were go...

Our last visit to the Smokie Mountain area, we made the mistake of staying at a Comfort Inn close to Dollywood; paid less but not up to standard. This time we went back to Apple Valley Comfort Inn, paid a lot more, however, it was worth every penny. Good clean room, very friendly staff, nice terrace, free USA Today and you need to get to lobby early if you want one, free coffee/tea/hot chocolate in lobby and a full free breakfast buffet that had lots of food. You cannot smoke on the property and being a non-smoker and allergic to smoke, this pleased me. I am very much concerned about bed bugs and feel a little safer when I pay more for a good clean hotel. Still, I always check the mattress, pillows, behind picture frames, etc. and Apple Valley Comfort Inn passed the test. I will stay there my next visit and think that you should give it a try.

Everything Virginia S. said about this place is true. We recently took a group of 34 seniors to Praisefest and stayed here 3 nights. Everyone was pleased with the large spaces, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff and the breakfast. We stayed here last year and will stay here again next year. This is a beautiful facility.

Room Tip: Back entrance is closer to the elevator.
