We stayed here due to the good reviews, and the fact that we quite often travel with our small dog. There are several exceptional LaQuintas now, and we always check out the reviews for whatever city we might be in. After a long drive, we checked in and I signed the pet policy card which plainly states that guests are not to leave their dog unattended in the room. After unpacking, we (including our dog) went to dinner and did a bit of shopping, arriving back at the motel around 6:30 pm. My husband and I were looking forward to turning in early. That didn't happen, because there was a large dog and two smaller dogs barking nonstop from the room next door. We couldn't really tell if the two smaller dogs were in the same room, but the big dog was definitely in the room next to ours. It's obvious that in a pet friendly hotel, there will be the occasional bark of a dog. But, this was CONTINUAL...NONSTOP BARKING. My husband called the front desk several times and complained, and was told by the clerk that he was not the only one complaining. She stated that she tried calling the owners but they never answered their phone. This went on until after 10 pm, when we finally insisted that we be moved to another room on another floor as far away from the barking dog as possible. Either that or we would be leaving and finding a different hotel, which is what my husband really wanted to do. I talked him into trying another room first and we were moved to the third floor. By now it was 10:30 and we were exhausted. The bathroom had obviously not been serviced or done in a sloppy manner, because there was a used washcloth on the shower rail and a used bar of soap on the tub. Gross. Rather than complain, I decided I'd clean it myself the next morning. The rest of our stay was fine, but I can't help but wonder what the motel staff did about the irresponsible people who left their dog/dogs unattended for hours on end. The staff should enforce their rules, and those who do not abide by the rules and allow their dog to disturb everyone else...they should be made to leave. An occasional bark is understandable, but not consistent barking for hours on end. If we experience this too many times at la quinta, we will be staying in another hotel chain even if it means paying a pet fee.

It is our belief that every single guest is important, and assure you that we work very hard to give every guest the best hotel experience. I am truly sorry for the issues you experienced. Unfortunately, there are irresponsible pet owners. And, we make every effort to hold our guests with pets accountable to the pet policies. Again, I am sorry that you were disturbed by the dog, and that we could not get a hold of the owner sooner. We hope you understand, these are not typical situations on our property or our standard. Training our staff to provide excellent guest service and to maintain a very clean, peaceful, & maintained facility is always our highest priority. I do appreciate the time you took to help us improve on those areas. We would love the opportunity to serve you again. Please feel free to contact me directly next time you are in the area. We stopped at the La Quinta while traveling to another area and made a point to stop again at the same hotel on the way back. We enjoyed the stay both times. The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. The hotel has an indoor pool and an outdoor pool so we were able to swim even in the winter. We have decided to go back to the area to vacation next spring or summer and will definitely stay there for the entire vacation.

The hotel clean, staff excellent…Internet a little slow but I think hotel was full this night. We stayed one night on our way home from the Christmas holiday with family. We were surprized at the traffic in the area. Thought this was a warm weather destination. Once we arrived at the hotel (GPS sent us past hotel and we needed to turn around) it was warm and inviting. Check in was quick and effecient. We had a nice stay and good night sleep. We were on our way the next morning. Hotel fit the bill for what we needed.

We stayed in this hotel the day after Christmas because we were having some work done on our house. It was so nice being able to bring our dog without being charged an expensive pet fee. It was also very clean and comfortable and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Make an effort to stay here, the facilities and staff were wonderful. We have stayed here before on the way to TX and will every time we are near here. I highly recommend this hotel and hope you will also!
