“First time ever to have chewy noodles”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Had the basil noodles with chicken. The flavor was awesome, however the portion of chicken was very small and was cut up into pieces so small you had to look for them. Ordered it medium on the spicy scale which was perfect. Have never had chewy noodles before. I mean SERIOUSLY chewy. Also tried the pad thai chicken appetizer which was ok, but nothing to write home about, especially at $6.95.

“Veg. and Beef Pad Thai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Best Pad Thai ever...need I say more? Okay, I will... The server was kind ans helpful with deciding what spice level to go with. Mine was medium (2 peppers) and was spicy enough without burning. The beer menu could be improved--maybe with a few dark beers to choose from, but that is my only complaint.

“Wonderful, authentic Thai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

I love Thai food. My man, does not. But we have found peace. I ordered us the Tom Kha Gai (coconut Chicken Soup) and the broccoli beef stir fry. He raves about these two dishes. Both dishes tasted excellent, and presented professionally. We chose this restaurant as our meal before seeing the Smoky Mountain Opry Christmas Show. We wanted something light and refreshing to eat before the show. Typical Smokies fare seems heavy or fried, and we needed a change from those types of dishes! We both recommend this place for a great meal. Our only regrets, not ordering the Chicken Satay. We will be back again !!!!!

“Great food - Professional Presentation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

This is a small restaurant located in a strip mall very near to the Tanger Outlets. Staff was attentive, food was very good and presented professionally. While the atmosphere was typical of strip mall Oriental eateries, the food was a notch above what you might expect in that setting. The meals we ordered were very good and garnished exceptionally well. The people in the kitchen are very well trained or talented. Another big plus was the hospitality factor. We didnt realize that we had stayed 30 minutes beyond closing until we were leaving. Not once did we feel we were an inconvenience to the staff, we had no idea they were ready to close. They didnt mop around us, or clean tables, pull shades or any of the things they do when you are overstaying your welcome. Thai Palace gets high marks for the quality of their food and the professionalism of their service. Definitely a better choice than the franchise restaurants that are on every corner and quite a bit better food than your typical oriental restaurant. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, but it is still a strip mall. It is worth a try, if you like Thai food or really any type of oriental cusine.
