This resort is easy to find. You can see the giant waterslides from the main road. This is two resorts in one and everyone checks in at the same lobby. Make sure you give an accurate count of how many are in a room because each person is assigned a wristband for the waterpark. Otherwise it's $20 pp.
This is a kids resort and this is THE kids resort in the entire area. This resort was designed with children and families in mind. I have read several reviews complaining of noise. We stayed in Building 6 that was close to the waterpark. Our room was on the main level. It was the first room off the lobby by the elevator. I was expecting a lot of noise. I was surprised that I only occasionally heard footsteps/jumping from the room above. I heard no noise from the room next door. I guess it just depends how active the families are above you.
The room was lovely. It was newer, fresh and very clean. The furnishings and decor were modern and in great shape. There was a good sized flat screen with surround sound in the family room area and another one in the master bedroom. Connected to the master bedroom was a small sink and the incredible jacuzzi tub. This jacuzzi -type tub was THE best one I have ever used. The jets were strong and bubbles warm. I just wish it was big enough for 2. The bathroom was completely tiled and had a big shower. Everything in the kitchen was new and the dishwasher worked great. The A/C was excellent and we were able to keep our room nice and cold.
The waterpark is incredible! Outdoors in the middle of the resort is a lazy river and wave pool that are innerconnected to use. The resort only allows you to use their innertubes. The resort was at 100% capacity when we were there and there was still innertubes available and seating. If you want prime seating in the pool area, get there before 12 noon. They have cabanas for daily rental of $125 that have quite a bit inside including a flat screen TV. The indoor waterpark has another wave pool, activity pools, playgrounds, surf machine, waterslides, hot tub (that's not very hot) and more. They supply daily beach towels too. Lockers are located in the pool area if you need them. We didn't have any problems with anyone touching our stuff. The roof is see-through and you can still tan inside so make sure you remember sunscreen in there. Don't be shy about wearing your swimsuit you will see all shapes, sizes, colors and ages. Anything goes.
The staff is wonderful. Check-in was easy. The housekeeping staff in building 6 was always friendly and asking how our stay was. The grounds were clean. I wish the outdoor smoking area was somehow fenced off. It was kind of yucky to see that. The majority of the lifeguards were very attentive and helpful. One day my son lost his eyeglasses and the manager helped us sort through the 3 carts of used beach towels. That's dedication!
We did not try the on-site restaurant or the waterpark on the hill that's geared towards the under age 8 group.
What would make it 5 stars? More parking for 100% capacity, camoflauge the smoking area, to not have to wear wristbands all the time and high-speed wi-fi (it was super slow).
Overall, it's a great family resort and we plan to return again.
