“Smoky Cozy - lovely cabin retreat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

The cabin had lots of space, a lovely verandah and swing seat to relax on, an old style arcade machine and a pool table.

We really enjoyed our stay at Smoky Cozy, the only negative aspect was the lack of some bits and pieces that would have been useful in the kitchen.

The cabin was ideally located to visit Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

Given the distance to the nearest grocery store though, it would have been nice to have had a welcome package of a few basics in the cabin - we also had to buy washing liquid etc.

This is a 2 BR cabin that has a sleeping loft and actually sleeps 10 people comfortably. There were 8 of us, and we had plenty of room. The cabin was really clean and well stocked---down to the dishwashing and laundry soap!!! We even had a hot tub in it's own closed in room at the back of the wrap around porch! Very convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Townsend. We cooked in some and went out some for dinner. (One place we ate was Bubba's Country Cookin' on Wear's Valley Rd---loved it!) I would recommend Smoky Cove to anyone looking for a good deal and a great place to stay. They have cabins from 1 BR to 6BR so they can accommate any size family. My family can't wait to come back again.

This cabin is nice. However, there is a bee problem in the upstairs guest bathroom. The manager stated that they come in through the doors when open. Not the case in this instance. At any given time there were 12 bees flying around bathroom & bedroom. Both guests staying in this particular room were stung during early morning hours while sleeping! Plus there were several(>30) dead bees in the bothroom light fixture covers.
The pictures were very accurate! The views are spectacular!!! My only complaint is the bees.
Suggestion to the owners.....purchase glass wine glasses please! Good Wine should never be served in plastic glasses.......

This was the 2nd year in a row that my husband and I visited the gatlingurg,tn and pigeon forge,tn area. We stayed in the big bear retreat 3bd/5bath cabin and we had an awesome time. The cabin was very spacious, clean, and just as described. The pictures online are nice but in person, we were amazed. The floor plan is split with a room on each level adding extra privacy. We were a group of (10), two families. Although its located in seiverville,tn, it's not far at all from the parkway. We were able to get to dollywood splash country within 15 min and to wears valley zip lining in 8 min. The king beds were comfy, the theater room was a hit, and the quality of the cabin was top notch. If you plan on traveling to the pigeon forge or gatlinburg area, you won't be disappointed with the big bear retreat!

we stayed in the Big Bear Retreat. tha cabin had 3 bedrooms, there are 3 levels, 2 jacuzzis and a hot tub! the cabin was wonderful!!! there were 4 kids and 4 adults in the cabin. the kids had a blast, ages 1-8. the pics on the website dont do the cabin justice, its beautiful!!! great location, friendly staff, and its very clean. the area is quiet and approximately 15 mins away frm food and entertainment. we are planning another family trip this summer. if u plan on visiting the area, this is definitely the place to stay!

My husband and I stayed at Bearly Creekside for our fifteen wedding anniversary. We have stayed at many cabins and many resorts but this one beats them all hands down. There were plenty of towels and washcloths, the kitchen was fully stocked, they even supplied the laundry detergent and soaps for those last minute forgotten items. It was just minutes from all of the hustle and bustle of the "city life" yet when you were done you could retreat back to your little piece of Heaven in the smokies. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The Cabin was very very clean. Really can't say anything negative about our trip, and that's saying something because I can usually complain about anything!
