We stayed Thursday night at a different hotel and came here Friday morning and was blown away at how precious the staff are, how clean and well kept the entire place is, and the southern hospitality was remarkable! We love this place. We visit Selmer atleast once a year to see family and this will be our new home away from home when we come back to TN :) Thank You...

We stayed at the Southwood Inn in Selmer, Tn from 7-19-12 to 7-25-12 and it was a very good place. The rooms were very clean and the Host Lisa was a very nice lady, she made homemade biscuits and gravy for breakfast in the morning along with the other selections that she had to choose from. The beds were very comfortable and probably the first ones that we had stayed at that we didn't wake up with sore backs. We couldn't have asked for better care while we stayed there and we definitely would stay there again and recommend it to anyone that needed a place to stay. Thank you Lisa and hope to see you again sometime.

The owner and the desk clerks are the most accommodating people you can imagine. They take the time ask how they can make your stay better while you are there. The breakfast was exceptionally good and varied.
I will make a point of going back to visit my friends Lisa ( the owner) and Sarah ( the most helpful desk clerk ever).

We were treated as if we were royalty! Clean rooms, hair dryer in rooms, microwave and refrigerator in each room, will stay there EVERY time we are in Selmer! I would highly recommend this motel to anyone!

Room Tip: We stayed in the non-smoking section.

A friend and I stayed here March 30 through April 1 for the Battle of Shiloh 2012. The people are super nice - very friendly. Although it is an older hotel the rooms were very nice and comfortable. My friend and I are very happy that we didn't pay attention to the old reviews and will definitely stay here again next year. You will enjoy your stay too!!

I stayed at this establishment September 16th and 17th, 2011. It was quiet, clean and the staff were exceptional. The lady that owns the place was so friendly and even cooked our waffle and served them to us. I will be going back next summer for a night or two just to lounge and swimming. Loved this little place!!!!

What a great little motel! From the moment we were greeted at the front desk until we were getting ready to drive away we were treated like gold. The owner personally handles the free breakfast which is much more than a continental breakfast. She made her own special biscuits and gravy for us and it was delicious!

The rooms were clean and neat with all the basic amenities you'd expect and a nice comfy bed. It is an excellent value for your dollar, be sure to visit, you won't be disappointed.
