“Southern hospitality at its best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

Poor visibility due to icy snow, caused us to stop at this motel. The staff went out of their way to meet our unusual personal needs, which included getting food delivered from a nearby restaurant so we didn't need to go back out. Food was not only delicious, but plentiful. Breakfast in the a.m. Was also very good. The memorabilia is phenomenal! Glad the snow hit when it did or we would have missed out on this delightful motel and outstandingly hospitable staff.
Next trip south we will plan a stop there.

My husband and I were traveling on I-75S and stopped for the night at the Comfort Inn in Pioneer, TN at exit # 141. It is the most uniquely decorated hotel in which we have ever stayed. Bed was comfortable, breakfast good, all personnel friendly, but the memorabilia is what will entice us to return to this hotel. Beautiful antiques everywhere, unique memorabilia of many different genre. We delayed leaving so early to give us time to walk the halls to look/read the wall hangings. I felt we were in a cross between a historical museum and a resort. Will definitely recommend our friends/family stop at this hotel. Made me feel special that the owner wanted to delight the eyes &the mind with a trip down Memory Lane.

Our room was well-maintained and clean, the staff were all really helpful and friendly and the breakfast was better than you usually get. We were just stopping on our way south be we'd like to stay longer sometime because the area seems nice.

Beautifully decorated hotel, has everything you need. Beds were very comfortable, and hot breakfast was outstanding! They even have a little store in the hotel where you can buy candy, snacks, drinks, etc. The best Comfort Inn I have ever stayed in!

Lot's to look at and read. Tons of memorabilia/antiques.

Trying to give an honest and kind review.

Lobby is like grannys living room. Kinda feels like you're welcome to come on in, "sit a spell", and watch tv. A little worn and cluttered...but inviting.

Can slightly smell cigarette smoke when coming into lobby. We were told 2nd floor had smokers, although there is a posted no smoking sign on front door. Clerk accommodated us, when we asked for a room as far away as possible from smokers. That was nice.

Rooms a little musty; bedspread smelled a bit, kind of like "old sheet smell" but not too overly bothersome.

I have back problems so need a firm bed. For me, the bed was too soft. It was ok for hubby.
Refrigerator and micro included. Hanging space for clothes, no closet.

We were glad that they had coffeemaker out on a table and not in bathroom. Love that!

Unfortunately we discovered bathtub wasn't cleaned as there were quite a bit of medium length blonde hairs on wall of shower and on base of tub. Didn't complain, we just used lysol cleansing wipes that we always carry for times like these.

Went to breakfast...attendant was very sweet. Had typical comfort inn fare...fruit, yogurt, grits and oats packets, cereal, biscuits, gravy, round egg patties, boiled eggs, pastries, bagels, waffles.

Across the freeway about 1/4 mile is a Mexican restaurant. We enjoyed our meals for dinner. I think it was el azteca.something like that.

Lastly, we asked if we could get our "choice" member points, but we didnt have our number and the front desk could not locate it. So we asked if we could gain air mile points, (we gave her our number).? She said yes, but during check out, the morning clerk said it hadn't been entered and she couldn't print our receipt. It also still showed a balance, which she couldn't clear and would have to get help with later. Made us feel uncomfortable leaving without a receipt. Later that day via email...we received a statement saying they were unable to credit skymiles, because they needed 14 digits. Our card only shows 10. So will have to chase that issue down.

All in all, not a bad stay, if you get the Tennessee welcome booklet coupon for $74.95 plus tax. We thought it was fair.

Thank you ns489 for your kind review hear on tripadvisor. I just wanted to let you know that we are getting ready to go thru a pip (property improvement plan) here at our hotel. We will be going completely non-smoking thru out the whole hotel. Sorry to hear that we could not add your choice member points or skymiles for you. I hope that if you or your family are in our area again that you will come and stay with us. Thank you again for the review!!!

If not for the friendly and accommodating staff plus the above average breakfast this hotel might not even qualify for 4 Stars. The rooms are clean but outdated, no fitness room at all, and the outdoor pool is across the parking lot. I'm guessing that this hotel was not originally a Comfort Inn because most Choice Hotels (except Quality Inns) are usually better equipped. Now, to give the benefit of doubt, my stay took place in July 2013 so maybe the rooms have been updated since then and now they have a fitness room. If not, based on the price next time I'm in area, that might have been my last stay t this hotel

We stayed here on the night of 10-12-2013.The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical Comfort Inn type breakfast. There is a great Mexican restaurant a stones throw from the hotel just the other side of I75. Easy on and off 75. Will stay again
