Stayed in Room 112, a king jacuzzi suite, on July 5th 2013. At first the room seemed ok, but later that evening their was water leaking through the ceiling, directly over the jacuzzi and around the recessed lighting. I stood on the platform around the jacuzzi and reach up felt the tiles and they were all wet. I went on to notice quite a lot of rust on the metal frame work that held up the tiles. When I called the front desk to report it, the clerk said he'd see about shutting it off as if it was a known problem. The leak did stop later, but clerk never checked back with us and when I went to check out, there was no one at the front desk to complain to and it was a room cleaner that took our keys.
Other problems with the room included a shower curtain rod that was falling and wouldn't allow the curtain to fully close. Also the bathroom door would not shut, leaving about 1-2 inch gap into the bedroom you could see while in the shower thanks to the falling curtain rod.

Location was good easy in and easy out. EVERYTHING need cleaning. Swimming pool was too small more like a dirty cold bath tube. Mold and smelled like smoke in a non smoking room. If they would do some major cleaning and painting it would be nice.

Room Tip: Choose somewhere else until the clean it up.

It was summer of 2011.
We arrived at the hotel around 8. Decent location. We came to check In and the person at the desk was a complete snob! We waited about 5 minutes before he got off the phone to check in. When me and my family arrived in our room. There was a terrible smell. We began to notice mold on the wall and ceiling. I walked over and noticed a roach on the wall. We asked to switch rooms. We arrived in the other room and it was even worse! 5 roaches on the wall. Dead roaches every where! Bed wasnt made up and we noticed blood on the pillows! And mold in the bathtub! He wouldnt give us a refund so we switched rooms again.. this time we decided. Me and my mother, Father, and brother stayed In the van. My other part of my family didnt care! We woke up In the morning and checked out. We were not going to even think about eating the breakfast, but here's the deal. Nothing but 1 stale donut and no coffee made. They had eaten all the donuts. As we left, we noticed the pool was dark green and chairs were scattered everywhere! Not worth a dime! Don't stay!

Room Tip: There is no good room!

We stayed at this hotel durring Memorial day weekend and i must say overall i was comtent. The hotel is right off of wears vally road placing it in a very good central location. The staff were very helpfull and kind. The prices were some of the lowest in town. We were very skeptical about staying here due to several bad reviews on Tripadvisor and priceline which i used to book the hotel. The hotel was nowhere near as bad as most of the reviews but neither was it a hidden gem of the smokies. The rooms were overall clean but a lack of routine maintainance and deep cleaning was very evident. Thing like removing the bed frame and vacuuming under it and completely defrosting the fridge and cleaning it with bleach or vinegar. There were crumbs under the nightstand and there was actually black mold growing in the fridge and on the very top edge of the shower wall. Things that most hotels fail to look at when cleaning.most hotels have this problem but only the ones that have years or neglect show as this one has. I dont expect a maid to move every peice of furniture or completely do a deep cleaning of the fridge after every visitor, but i do expect a deep cleaning every month or so. There is no excuse for mold in the fridge or on the shower walls. Otherwise the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Overall the experience was pleasant but would i stay here again or even recomend this hotel to anyone? If i was on a budget, yes i would but what i recomend is that the owners start taking routine maintainance and thorough cleaning more seriously. This hotel is your livelihood or at least it should be. If you do not want to continue to recieve poor review spend the time go through each room and say to yourself "If this room was for sale would i buy it in its current condition. Would i want to live here with its current level of cleanliness". I hope that if i decide to stay here again that some of my advise is shown in the condition of my room when i arrive. Thanks for all of your help to the staff they were absolutely wonderful.

The room stunk like an unwashed body, towels had black specks all over them, shower curtain had mold all over it, lights in the room didn't work, lock was broken on the door........ as soon as i pulled back the sheets, this HORRIBLE stench emitted from the mattress and we COULD NOT find where it was coming from. I know this much - WE WILL NOT RETURN!!! You get what you pay for - you are better off going to one that is slightly more expensive. Wish I had've checked this site out instead of making a spur of the moment decision.

This hotel has seen its better day. The physical appearance of the property looks worn from the elevator to the rooms. Once you look past the stained walls and filthy carpets you can enjoy a hot shower and dry off with a towel that must of been made from a sackcloth. But you forget all about the towel, when you step onto the sticky carpet in your bare feet (take shower shoes if you stay here). We decided to sleep in our clothes on top the comforter (lesser of two evils, hopefully?), when we pulled back the covers to see hairs...whether the maids or last night's guess, we were not taking the chance. The only reasons I give this place a three (average rating) are due to the very helpful and nice staff, the very cheap rate, and the center strip convenience. I hope my experience was a isolated incident that isn't the norm.
