“Very nice stay and nice rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

This was my first time staying here but will not be my last. The rooms were very clean and nice. Carpets were clean and well kept, my room had a full size fridge and microwave, beds were comfortable and clean and the free wifi worked well. The lady at the front desk was very nice.

We have stayed here many times and always get good service and good rates. I would recommend this to everybody who needed a good, inexpensive, no frills place to stay. It was clean and in walking distance of several places we like to go. It has a microfridge which is more than I can say for a much more expensive hotel I stayed at once. We will stay there again.

Room Tip: I never stay on the first nor 2nd floors due to pets are usually on the first floor.

Got a jacuzzi room for $65.00/night here and planned to stay for two nights. Not a bad price and the staff that evening was very friendly. The problems began once we were getting settled in the room. Upon entering, we discovered urine and toilet paper sitting in the unflushed commode. A turn off but it could be dealt with easily. Other than that, the room was old but clean looking. The real kicker was the jacuzzi tub. When we turned on the jets, DEAD BUGS shot out into the water. It was a bit horrifying. As the rest of the room seemed clean and it was after midnight, we chose to address the issue in the morning. However after it was brought to the desk clerk's attention the next day, she attempted to scold us for not alerting someone the night before and merely offered to having housekeeping clean. Her entire demeanor was quite rude. Luckily, the clerk from the previous evening happened to still be there and did offer us our second night in a positively clean room for only $35. Although we were appreciative of the offer, we had had enough and spent our second night somewhere else.

After having a terrible experience trying to check into Zoder's of Gatlinburg, we headed back to Pigeon Forge and stopped at a few motels. Raj and Nancy of Regency were understanding, caring and fair about the price they would charge us late at night on a Thursday. We had thought of staying one night and heading back home but decided we liked our room and would stay another night. The rate was higher for a Friday, but still reasonable. Our room was clean, our fridge and television worked great and we slept very well in our king sized bed. The continental breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it was something. Also, there is no smoking in any of the rooms and we REALLY appreciated that. Would give it 4 1/2 points if possible:) Thanks!
